Waves For Water is a global humanitarian aid organization implementing clean water solutions in remote communities.

W4W started in the Philippines as a response to Super Typhoon Haiyan in 2013 and is now a PCNC-accredited organization.

WATCH: On the island of Linapacan, the effects of Typhoon Tino were still being felt long after the storm had passed. Damaged water pipes had cut off a community’s access to clean water, leaving families traveling by boat or on foot just to collect drinking water.

Seven months later, the Jesus V. del Rosario Foundation and EMCOR, Inc., together with our team, visited the island to support access to clean drinking water where it was still needed: 95 water filtration systems and 9 standalone handwashing stations, 458 families reached.

Disaster recovery doesn’t end when the storm does. Supporting communities means doing the work long after the headlines fade.

Teachers are instrumental in making sure our clean water solutions become part of everyday school life. 📚✏️💧

They encourage proper handwashing, help students build healthy habits, and ensure that water filters and standalone handwashing stations are used, maintained, and cared for. 💙

From helping build the foundation of W4W Philippines to now joining the Board of Trustees, Jenica Dizon-Mountford’s journey with W4W continues. 💧

Jenica Dizon-Mountford served as the W4W Philippines Country Director from 2020 to 2026, after previously serving as our Operations Director. During her time, she helped steer the organization through years of growth, strengthening the work and partnerships that have helped shape the organization into where it is now 13 years after its inception. 🌊

Today, Jenica serves as Head of Infinite Purpose at TROPIC, a UK-based skincare brand working to create a healthier, greener, and more empowered world. 💚 In her role, she oversees giving, helps embed ESG initiatives, and creates opportunities for community engagement. That work has also created new ways to connect her role with W4W, including Tropic’s support for Waves For Water’s flash flood response in Nepal in September 2026. 🤝

We’re grateful for everything Jenica has poured into W4W Philippines and excited to see her bring that experience and perspective to a new chapter with our team.

Our mission to Palawan with Mady, former W4W Global Monitoring & Evaluation Director, and her son, Noah, was a meaningful return to work that has been part of Mady’s journey for years. 🌊💧

This reunion was a reminder of why we keep showing up as we brought clean water and hygiene solutions to 2,600 Palaweños in Barangay Bantulan, Taytay through 80 water filtration systems, one rainwater catchment tank, and five standalone handwashing stations. 🏝️

On September 14, we gathered again for W4W Partnerships Day: Impact4Water, our second one this year, bringing together people and organizations who want to move the clean water mission forward. 💧🤝

We’re building more than partnerships. We’re building a platform where people, organizations, and communities can connect, collaborate, and bring their different strengths together to champion clean water access across the Philippines.

From operational, events, communications, community engagement, and WASH research partners, to those helping us pilot , each brings something different to the bigger picture.

To everyone who joined us and continues to share their time, ideas, expertise, and resources: thank you for helping turn connections into collaboration, and collaboration into action. 💙
