Last April 25, these inspiring student-leaders brought the joy of literacy and discovery to the children of St. Martin de Porres Kids' Home. Seeing the youth step up to champion the importance of education through tutoring and play is exactly what we love to see!

On March 14, we gathered our BINHI Reading Warriors in Makati City for a heartfelt Volunteer Appreciation Day. This school year, 525 volunteers pack learning kits, facilitate reading assessments, teach students online, and spread our mission through stories and advocacy. Their efforts form the heartbeat of BINHI's work in transforming lives through literacy.

We celebrated our volunteers with inspiring talks, fun games, book swaps, awards, and tokens from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Philippines), Century Pacific Group-RSPo Foundation, Enchanted Kingdom, and ITA-Outline (https://ita-outline.carrd.co/) to honor their hard work. Events like these show how much we value the commitment of our volunteers.

From February 18 to March 3, 2026, Binhi English Literacy Foundation, Inc. wrapped up a chapter with its Culminating Activity, the finale of our transformative 100-day BINHI Learning Program. Across 19 partner sites, students stepped into the spotlight and proudly showed off their hard work through presentations and heartfelt performances.

These young learners captivated audiences with thoughtful presentations like Reader's Theater, interactive read-aloud sessions, and energetic sabayang pagbigkas (choral reading). Each performance wasn't just a display of skills; it was a testament to their growth in English literacy, confidence, and creativity.

Through our BINHI Learning Program, we're transforming struggling and non-readers into confident readers!

During our post-test activities last February 2-13, pre-to-post results showed tangible gains in phonics, fluency, & comprehension across all Kits.

We couldn't have done this activity without the support of 159 volunteers from iVolunteer Philippines, theonehourproject, De La Salle University Para-teachers, Cognizant, and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Philippines), who gave their time to facilitate the tests and witness the transformation firsthand.
