A new sexual violence prevention initiative called Little Matters has launched to help families take small, practical actions to build healthy relationships and create safe environments for children. It emphasises that everyday harmful attitudes can lead to sexual harm, so prevention can begin in daily life.

Our team at Alo Fa was privileged to attend the Queens of the Pacific event in Wellington last Friday evening. The sense of fellowship and connection among all attendees created a wonderful atmosphere! Being able to discuss our work in a way that feels less invasive and culturally safe is what this platform provides for our service. We look forward to continuing our support for wellbeing events within our Pasifika communities.

Awesome day ‘in the office’ for us today. Sela and Sui were up at Battle Hill with Claire and Kate and the equine therapists Tonka and Zara. We are hoping to bring groups for Equine assisted therapy (EAGALA) which is an internationally recognised form of professional counselling that helps clients of all ages address behavioural, emotional and relational challenges by using horses as an intervention tool. The day was awesome. The sun was shining we were just sitting in their new paddock talking and the horses kept coming over to say hi. Thank you Claire and Kate 😊
