Tamariki have a natural affinity towards water and it is one of the basic raw materials for purposeful play. So how can we support our tamariki to learn through water play?

We can:
✅ Ask open-ended questions like "How", "What," or "Tell me about..."
✅ Make ice in different shapes or colours
✅ Give them containers to move water about
✅ Use warm water to clean up after messy play
✅ Take a trip to the beach to play in the moana!

We offer free Learning Through Play workshops to our Playcentre whānau, to empower them as their children’s first and best educators
