Whanaungatanga and wellbeing look different for everyone - not only for whānau, but for our kaimahi too. ❤️🏀 When Karaumata learnt that Sonny and his son, Peter were passionate basketball fans, she saw an opportunity to support not only their physical wellbeing, but also their connection with each other, and kaimahi. By installing a basketball hoop at home, she and Bruce created a space where they could stay active, have fun, and strengthen their bond together.

As the stars of Matariki rise, Te Whare Ruruhau O Meri joins whānau across Aotearoa in celebrating Te Tau Hou Māori - a time to reflect on where we have come from, take stock of our collective strength, and look ahead with purpose.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐚 (reflection) reminds us of the journey. For 30 years, we have provided sanctuary, support, and hope for whānau. This Matariki, we pause to honour those who helped build that legacy and acknowledge the growing capacity we now have to serve our communities.

The way the sapling is nurtured determines how the tree will grow.
Like a young tree carefully tended, our growth has been guided by a commitment to stability, sustainability, and long-term impact - ensuring that our roots remain strong as our ability to support whānau continues to grow.
