We just wanted to share with you all this upcoming parent evening which could be of interest to many of you, whether your child/ren are involved in sport now or not
The presenter Craig Ross, is a past parent of PHSCC with vast experience in this field.
It is designed for all sports and for children of any age – Grandparents who are involved in sport with their grandkids will also benefit from this presentation too
See information below………
Supporting your child in sport can sometimes feel challenging. Do you ever find yourself:
- Wondering if you’re helping your child experience sport in the best way?
- Feeling frustrated and just wanting to see them find their place and level in sport?
Whether your child is aiming for performance pathways or simply enjoying sport, this evening will provide valuable insights for all families, including grandparents.
Craig Ross is excited to return home — once a Pukekohe HS student and local sportsman, later an ND Cricket and NZC High Performance Coach, and now a parent educator and mentor — for an interactive 1.5-hour session created for parents.
Craig brings over 20 years’ experience across elite and grassroots sport and will share practical ways you can:
• Understand your role in supporting your child’s sporting journey—whatever their level.
• Balance encouragement, enjoyment, and performance without adding pressure.
• Create positive family experiences through sport.
Two opportunities to come along:
📅 Tuesday 21 Oct, 7pm – 8.30pm or Thursday 23 Oct, 7pm – 8.30pm.
📍 PKJ Lounge, Counties Manukau RFU. 21 Stadium Drive, Pukekohe.
This is a great opportunity for parents to reflect, connect, and grow together through sport.
