Northern Region Football helps make football and futsal happen, by supporting our member clubs from the Bombay Hills to the Far North. We work to enrich lives through football, building capability and leadership within our game, guided by our values of enjoyment, respect, collaboration, inclusivity and ambition. We are a Not-For-Profit Incorporated Society formed from the merger of the Auckland and Northern football federations in May 2022. We have a club and community centric philosophy, focused on significantly growing our registered members and improving their experience in our game.

Auckland Rangatahi Advisory Group ⚽💙

We’re looking for youth players (ages 14–19) to step up, share their perspective, and help shape the future of youth football in Auckland.

We are seeking male and female players aged 14-19 who are currently participating in NRF competitions and have experience playing in Auckland youth football competitions to be involved in the group for the duration of the project.

Nominees do not need to be the most experienced players or the most outspoken. We are looking for young people who are willing to share their perspectives, contribute their ideas, and help shape a football environment that fosters positive experiences for youth players.

Vale Bill Munro

Bill Munro grew up in Auckland and played as a defender for Blockhouse Bay, now known as Bay Olympic. He started refereeing in 1966 after retiring as a player until 1988. He was a member of the Auckland Soccer Referees Association and went on to referee 189 games in the New Zealand’s Men’s National League during a career that took him to the international stage. He served on the New Zealand Football Association’s referees’ committee, including a period as chairman of referees.
