What a night! ✨

Last night, our Impact Project Showcase brought our school community together to celebrate the creativity, courage and hard work of our rangatahi.

From first ideas to finished projects, students have explored what matters to them, tackled real challenges and created work they can be proud of!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our students along the way and who came to the Showcase. Next term, we’ll be spotlighting our finalists and award winners, so keep an eye out! ❤️💚

LIMITED OUT-OF-ZONE PLACES REMAINING FOR 2027!

Considering Albany Senior High School for next year? Now is the time to get your enrolment in.

We have a limited number of out-of-zone places still available for 2027, giving more students the opportunity to experience an education that’s different by design - combining strong academic pathways with authentic, real-world learning.

At ASHS, students are encouraged to discover what they’re capable of, pursue their interests and take greater ownership of their learning, all within a supportive and inclusive school community.

If ASHS feels like the right fit for your young person, we’d love to welcome their application for 2027.

A huge shoutout to the young tāne from our ASHS basketball community, who gave up a day of their weekend recently to complete a full-day Youth Mentoring course at Youth in Transition in Dairy Flat! 🏀

The group worked with Ross McCook, Director of Heart for Youth Trust, to develop practical skills in communication, conflict resolution, resilience, goal-setting and cross-cultural mentoring.

Through hands-on workshops and real-world scenarios, they gained valuable tools to help them support younger players and rangatahi as positive role models and mentors.

This training is part of the ongoing partnership between Heart for Youth and ASHS Basketball, using sport and mentoring to strengthen connection, wellbeing and community for ASHS and Albany Junior High School rangatahi across the Albany region 💚❤️
