E sui le faiga ae tumau le fa’avae 🌺
The method may change, but the foundation remains.

We are proud to announce that SkyCity Auckland Community Trust has invested in Fibre Fale AI.

Not in programme delivery. Not in an output. In the field we are building. In the foundation. In us as founders. We have spent the last year and a half delivering AI literacy and capability programmes, keynotes and masterclasses that equip Pacific businesses and communities to navigate fast-changing technologies. That work is critical to closing the AI divide and it will continue.

But this is only part of our vision.

This investment will fund two complementary research programmes sitting at the governance and technical layers of AI. Work that does not yet exist, that we believe should. This is upstream systems change. From helping our people use AI systems to helping define the frameworks and technical architectures that will govern Pacific lives for generations.

Fa’afetai tele lava for the boldness and backing Racheal Monks and the SkyCity Auckland Community Trust board. The technology will change. The foundation endures.

There is more Fibre Fale AI to come. We are only at the beginning. 💜

This weekend we held our free AI Masterclass in partnership with Pacific Business Trust, and what a special day it was.

Fa’afetai tele lava to everyone who gave up part of their Saturday to learn, ask questions, challenge ideas, and think practically about what AI means for our communities, workplaces, and futures.

For us at Fibre Fale, these conversations matter. The more we build understanding, the less room there is for fear. AI shouldn’t be something happening to our communities. We should be part of shaping how it is used and where it takes us.
Thank you for spending your weekend with us. 🚀💜

E so’o le fau i le fau 🌺

Joining fibre to fibre, forming an unbreakable bond.

We are proud to announce our new multi-year partnership with J R McKenzie Trust.

Through their Poutū Pasefika pillar, JR McKenzie invests in transformational system change — so that Pasefika voices are heard, elevated and supported in a socially just and inclusive Aotearoa. In joining with us, they become another fibre in the movement to shift who holds power in Aotearoa’s digital future. This partnership backs a vision where Pacific self-determination in technology is not aspirational. It is the direction of travel.

Fa’afetai tele lava to Sylvia Moe, Linn Araboglos and the J R McKenzie Trust team. We are proud to walk this path together. 💜

Last week for Samoan Language Week, we had the privilege of visiting Wesley Intermediate. 💜

This year’s theme, ”‘E afua mai i mauga tetele manuia o le ‘nu’u,” reminds us that many of the blessings we have today come from the sacrifices, prayers, and hard work of those who climbed the mountain before us. Our job now is to leave a ladder behind so the next generation can reach even greater heights.

We spoke about the importance of Gagana Samoa, shared our journey in tech, and encouraged our tamaiti to carry their language, culture, and identity with them into every space they enter.

A special highlight was gifting copies of Ete Fixes the Glitch to the school. 📚✨

Fa’afetai tele lava for having Fibre Fale. Always an honour to pour back into our young people. 🌺

This weekend, Julia and Eteroa delivered our first dedicated AI Governance training with The Fono — New Zealand’s largest Pacific health and social services provider.

Together with their Board, leaders, and staff, we spent the day exploring AI risk, accountability, data sovereignty, and what it means to hold AI decisions with Pacific values at the centre.

Fa’afetai tele lava to Tevita and the wider team for trusting us with this work. Your openness, curiosity, and commitment to getting this right for your people and communities made the day what it was.

Pacific-led AI governance. More of this. 🚀🌺💜

Yesterday our co founder Namulau’ulu Nu’uali’i Eteroa Lafaele shared the stage with Peter-Lucas Jones at ACE Aotearoa Hui Fono 2026 🌺

A powerful talanoa on AI, Ancestral Intelligence, and what we must protect as technology reshapes our world.

We also introduced Fibre Fale’s ANCESTOR Framework and asked the room:
“Does AI deserve us?” 🤖✨

Fa’afetai tele lava ACE Aotearoa for having us. Rich conversations with amazing people 💜

Since day one, Andrew Weaver has been someone who has not only spoken words of support for Fibre Fale, but consistently backed those words with action. In a space where many talk about impact, Andrew has quietly and intentionally shown up through meaningful partnership, belief in our vision, and tangible support for the work we do.
That support has also extended into initiatives like Ete Fixes the Glitch helping us continue putting stories, representation, and possibility into the hands of our young people.
We just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate that kind of partnership. The type rooted in trust, consistency, and genuine care for community outcomes.
Fa’afetai tele lava Andrew. We see it and we appreciate it 🤝🏾🌺

Wymondley School 🤍

We had the privilege of sharing Ete Fixes the Glitch with our tamariki — creating space for them to see themselves in stories, in tech, and in the future they’re stepping into.

Fa’afetai tele lava to Wymondley School for opening your doors, and to The Cause Collective NZ for backing this kaupapa and helping us get these books into the hands of our young people.
