Le Afio’aga o Aotearoa (LAOA) is proud to partner with Health New Zealand to bring bowel screening awareness into our Pacific communities through sport, trusted voices and community connections. Together, we’re building understanding and confidence to take part in screening. Recently we delivered a bowel screening workshop For our community. Promotion is awareness.

Bowel cancer is treatable when caught early — and free screening is now available for anyone aged 58 to 74. LAOA is proud to stand alongside Health New Zealand in raising awareness across our Pacific communities. Know the signs. Get checked. Let’s save lives together. 💚

Fetu O Le Pasifika creates a welcoming space where Pacific elders can connect with one another, share stories through talanoa, stay active, celebrate their culture and access health and wellbeing information in a way that feels familiar and safe.
