News from ONOC which includes the qualification system for Archery to LA28

𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗔𝟮𝟴

The IOC Executive Board has approved additional qualification systems for the LA28 - and this is welcome news for NOCs and athletes across our region.

These systems are designed to give athletes multiple opportunities to qualify, ensure continental and universal representation, and minimise travel demands. Recommendations from the Paris 2024 debrief - which included input from NOCs like ours - have been applied where possible.

Importantly, this decision has been made earlier than in previous Games cycles, giving our Oceania athletes, coaches, and teams more time to plan and prepare their pathway to LA28.

Unfortunately, during the Men's Teams event, my camera started to fail, with an unrepairable fault. However, I didn't realise that this had happened until the U21 Men's event was almost over. Sadly, the photos from the Mixed Teams and U21 Men's were all completely unuseable, and the Open Women's and Men's events were shot in less than ideal conditions.

My apologies to the archers affected by this gear failure.
