Your friendly Camera Club conveniently located in Dublin City Centre. The oldest and largest camera club in Ireland established in 1946.

In recent years, as photography and the visual arts have become ever more accessible by digital and electronic technology, the Dublin Camera Club has established itself as the one of the city’s leading providers of evening classes in photography. The club has also contributed to the regeneration of the city by providing activities in the premises on most week nights, and at weekends. Dublin Camera Club is a charity registered with the Charity Regulators, number CHY 10307

Dublin Camera Club - Aerial and Drone Photography

A big thank you to Mike Pilkington from Malahide Camera Club for joining us last Tuesday evening and giving a fascinating presentation on his photography and also on his Aerial and Drone Photography.

Mike shared a wonderful selection of images, offering members an insight into his approach to aerial photography, composition and capturing landscapes from a different perspective.

A very enjoyable and informative evening, with some fantastic photography on display.

Thanks again to Mike for taking the time to visit us and share his work and experience.

Aerial & Drone Photography with Mike Pilkington 📷
This Tuesday, 6th October, we’re delighted to welcome Mike Pilkington of Malahide Camera Club to Dublin Camera Club for an evening of Aerial & Drone Photography.

Mike’s main interest is adventure travel photography, and he has travelled and photographed across six continents, including several trips to the High Arctic. His photography takes him to remote locations and often extreme conditions.

Mike doesn’t publish his work online or on social media, so this is a great opportunity to see a selection of his aerial and drone portfolio and hear about the locations and experiences behind the images.

A Big thank you to Lorraine A Morris Photography of Palmerstown Camera Club for joining us at Dublin Camera Club last night and giving us her presentation, “From Photograph to Fine Art - My Creative Journey.”

Lorraine took us through her creative process and the thinking and techniques behind her distinctive fine-art photography, as well as sharing plenty of practical insight into how she creates her images.

A very enjoyable and inspiring evening. Thanks again to Lorraine for taking the time to visit DCC and share her work with us.

This Tuesday at Dublin Camera Club 📷

We’re delighted to welcome Lorraine Morris of Palmerstown Camera Club to DCC for her presentation:

“From Photograph to Fine Art – My Creative Journey”

Lorraine will take us through a selection of her creative work, sharing her approach and the journey behind creating her distinctive fine-art images.

Lorraine was named IPF Photographer of the Year 2026, including Gold and Silver awards in the Creative category, so it promises to be a very interesting evening.

DCC Annual Club Trip – The Lake District 📷

This year, eight members of Dublin Camera Club travelled to the Lake District for our annual club photography trip.
We spent three nights based at The Pheasant Inn, Bassenthwaite, exploring some of the fantastic locations around the Lakes.

We were very lucky with the weather too, with just one early morning of rain over the trip. It was a great few days of photography, good company and plenty of time spent exploring the landscape with our cameras.

A big thank you to Stuart and Richard at The Pheasant Inn, Bassenthwaite for looking after us so well during our stay and making the group feel very welcome.

Thanks also to everyone who travelled and helped make it such an enjoyable trip. We’ll share a selection of images from the Lake District over the coming days.

Culture Night 2026 at Dublin Camera Club 📷

This Friday, Dublin Camera Club will be taking part in Culture Night with a special exhibition of photographic panels by five of our members.

The exhibition brings together a diverse range of photography, from documentary and wildlife to architecture, creative and conceptual work.

We’re delighted to welcome back John Sheridan Photography FIPF AFIAP from Drogheda Photographic Club as our guest judge for the evening.
