Most of us agree that in order to have a healthy society, we need the freedom to speak up about the things that matter to us. Social media should make this possible, without fear of being unfairly targeted, manipulated or our data being misused or unjustly censored.

We trust young people to navigate their world when we give them the tools and skills to do so and when our government prevents social media corporations from manipulating us.

Young people should have the right to access information, seek support, explore identity, and connect with community, like anyone else.

Our survey asking YOU what should be done about the Housing crisis is now live

On a visit to Ireland last month, delegates from the EU said Ireland’s housing crisis is now one of the “most severe in Europe.”

Still, we’re not seeing our elected representatives act with the urgency – or ambition – this crisis demands.

Instead, Simon Harris is trying to blame councils. Far-right extremists are using this crisis to direct violence towards immigrants who have made Ireland their home. And corporate landlords continue to be let off the hook, while they reap in bumper profits from a system that’s set up for their benefit.

The FAI has officially announced that it plans to still go ahead and play israel this October in the UEFA Nations League.

This is in response to the huge Stop the Game campaign that's determined not to let this game go ahead.

Rather than listen to the players, former managers and fans, the FAI has decided to make things easier for israel by giving up home advantage and travelling to another country. As well as that, no Irish fans will be allowed in the stadium either.

We're not having that. We've set up a tool that will let you call the FAI headquarters for free and give them a piece of your mind.

If you're disgusted with this decision then make sure their phone is ringing off the hook with messages saying that this decision does not represent the Irish people and the game needs to be cancelled outright.

We cannot legitimise genocide.

If you care about peace, neutrality, and stopping the genocide in Palestine, there's lots in the news this week you'll want to know about. Here's a bit of a rundown.

1. FAI announcement - we expect this today? And then there's 2 motions being tabled by Soc Dems and Sinn Fein

2. Triple Lock Cork city council motion this afternoon - will add lots of extra pressure on FF, follows similar motions across the country

3. OTB legislation - second stage in Dail on Weds. There's lots of amendments we and others are calling for, namely including services, but this will happen in the next stage

3. SocDem bill to prevent weapons being transported through Shannon Airport on Weds in Seanad

One thing is clear, the people of Ireland, former peacekeepers, county Councils, Former minister of defence and current government TD's do not want to scrap the Triple Lock.

Ireland is respected across the world as a broker of peace and our peacekeepers are welcomed for that.

Now the irish government are trying to scrap the Triple Lock to cosy up to arms dealers and the EU.
