Ahead of Cork Community Pride next weekend, the Pride At Work Ireland team are bringing two great events to Cork City on Friday July 31st! Whether you’re from the Rebel County of just down for the weekend, we’d love to see you there.

At 1.00pm our popular How To Be An Ally module will be delivered as a Lunch and Learn session. Being an LGBTQ+ ally can make a huge difference for those in the workplace as well as in everyday life, whether you show your allyship by showing up to Pride parades or just standing up against homophobia or transphobia. It is super easy too – but sometimes we may worry about using our voices in case we offend or say the wrong thing. Join us as we examine the power of allies, confronting our own bias and identifying hurtful or damaging language. A light lunch will be provided.

Then at 6.30pm, Pride At Work Ireland After Hours will be giving you our Quare Auld Times module; a whistle-stop tour through the history of LGBTQ+ identities in Ireland from pre-history to the birth of the modern pride movement. This session explores changing attitudes toward gender, gender roles and s*xuality from the Celts to the swinging sixties. As this module deals with a history of s*x and s*xuality in Ireland, some adult themes are discussed. Light refreshments will be provided.

A busy weekend for Prides across the country! We’ve just dropped the big Pride flag off in Limerick for Limerick Pride Festival (IRE) tomorrow and it will be making its way to Carlow Pride Festival for Sunday. Kings and queens of drag, poets and storytellers, DJs and dancers, singers and circus acts, hosts and production crew, even a string quartet. Over 100 artists took part in this year’s festival!

This was all made possible by the support of the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport Department of Culture, Communications and Sport. A special shout out to Alex Campbell and Boggler Productions for putting together such an amazing show at Merrion Square!

What an amazing Pride weekend! We have so many highlights to share and so many people to thank that it will take us at least a week. To start, we’d like to thank Lord Mayor of Dublin and Dublin City Council Their support of Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride goes far beyond just funding. By providing spaces like City Hall for our festival launch, Meeting House Square and Merrion Square for our festival and, of course, the streets of Dublin for our March and Parade, they help create a thriving city for all!

It’s the last day of our 2026 Festival and the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising. What better way to close out the festival and remind us where we came from than to join Stonewall veteran Jay Toole and our own Tonie Walsh as we look back at the story we share and remember some of the great voices we have lost.

Tickets are €10 which includes a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival and are available via Eventbrite or on the door.

We’ll be in Bartley’s Bar in the Grafton Hotel, built on the historic site of Bartley Dunne’s, one of Dublin’s oldest (unofficial) gay bars. From 6.30pm, with the event starting at 7.00pm. Come early and enjoy their outdoor terrace.

After the parade, join us in Merrion Square for a packed party programme! Pride Square 2 is a free, unticketed, full-day festival event proudly supported by Dublin City Council Dublin City County, the Department of Children, Disability and Equality Department of Children, Equality and Disability, the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment, the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport Department of Culture, Communications and Sport and our generous sponsors Volkswagen Ireland Volkswagen, Sky Ireland Sky, Just Eat Ireland Just Eat and Pride At Work Ireland.

A queueing system with bag searches is in operation to enter the park. Make your way along Merrion Square South and enter the park through Merrion Square East. There is also an accessibility entrance on Merrion Square West. Once the park reaches capacity, admission is on a one in-one out basis. Queues can be quite long during busy periods, but it tends to go in waves, so if you find the queue is long on arrival, go for a stroll or a snack, and it may subside.

After speeches from our community leaders, our Grand Marshall Philippa Ryder Philippa Ryder and our Special Guest Jay Toole Jay Toole, we have a packed programme of live music, drag, cabaret and burlesque perfomances with our MCs Paul Ryder Paul Ryder and Phil T Gorgeous Phil T. Gorgeous and banging beats from Ruth Dignam DJ Ruth culminating in our now legendary Pride Céilí with Trad Is Amach.

Here’s everything you need to know for the March and Parade tomorrow!

There are a number of areas where you can join in and march. Once the parade moves onto the Quays, you can join in anywhere you like. Access to O’Connell Street is restricted for capacity, but if you would like to join in on O’Connell Street, head to the Purple Zone. This is a public join in point and will start moving at around 1.30pm.

The parade is set to start at 12.30pm. However, due to the hot weather, we may start moving a little bit earlier.

Speaking of hot weather, you know the drill. Water, high factor sunscreen, a hat if you need it, and look out for those who may be vulnerable.

The route is 1.4km long. Make sure you wear shoes you can walk in and take a break if you need to. Our team will be on hand to help you and we’ll have extra water if you need it.

Be sound, look out for each other and have an amazing Pride!
