Cork Volunteer Centre was delighted to attend the 7th National Migrant Inclusion Conference in Dublin.
A big thank you to the Immigrant Council of Ireland and all the organisers for creating such an important space for learning, discussion and connection.
We would also like to thank Uachtarán na hÉireann, President Catherine Connolly , for her presence and contribution to the conference.
The conference was a valuable opportunity to hear different perspectives, learn from organisations across Ireland, and reflect on how we can continue supporting stronger, more inclusive communities in Cork.
At Cork Volunteer Centre, we work with people from many different backgrounds, including migrants, refugees, people seeking international protection and people with temporary protection. Through our work, we see how important it is to make volunteering welcoming, accessible and meaningful for everyone.
Volunteering can be an important step for people who are new to Ireland to build confidence, make connections, share their skills and feel part of their local community.
