Mahon CDP (Community Development Project) Mahon CDP runs a resource centre, childcare facility and a youth centre. It provides employment, training, educational & social opportunities.

It provides employment, training, educational & social opportunities and undertakes targeted work with various groups including: unemployed youth, young fathers, intergenerational work and Older people. Mahon CDP has over 30 employees and has its own Community Employment Training Scheme (CE Scheme)

Mahon CDP were delighted to be part of Mahon Learning Neighbourhoods Expo event last week in Mahon Community Centre.
The Lord Mayor Fergal Dennehy launched the event with the first performance of the New Mahon Song- 'Mahon- One Voice' being performed for the first time.

Local schools; The Holy Cross, Gaelscoil Mhachan, Scoil Ursula, Nagle Community College aswell as Local groups Mahon CDP Singing for Wellbeing Group, Cork City Partnership Line Dancing, Làmh with Corlann, and the Ukrainian Choir performed at the event.
Local education providers and information providers had displays on the day .
The Mahon Bowls Group were teaching people skills.
There was an incredible atmosphere with a buzz of excitement all day.
Thank you to all on Mahon Neighbourhood Committee for making it such a huge success on the day !

Mahon CDP are really looking forward to being part of Mahon Community Expo in Mahon Community Centre on Thursday 23rd April from 11am to 2.30pm.
