Our next Support Group for Parents of Neurodivergent Children is meeting this coming Monday the 12th of October from 9.30am - 11am 🤝

The support group is open to parents of children of all ages and meets fortnightly at Newbury House Family Centre CLG

A very proud Mayfield Community Adult Learning Project today as participants of courses in Word Processing Level 3 QQI, Information Technology Level 1, Plant Propagation Level 3 QQI and Planting and Potting by Hand Level 3 QQI received their certificates. We were delighted Courtney Canning Adult Education Officer and Phil Heffernan FET Area Coordinator from the Cork Education & Training Board where able to present the certificates and to share in the celebration with us.

In speeches, a special word of thanks to the Funder of these courses Cork City Partnership, the tutors, Lisa and Sophie, the whole background team in the CDP along with Sheila & Liz. Over 30 adults will receive or received their certificates today and this reflects the great commitment of each participant to their respective course. For many this has been a stepping stone to further accredited courses or non accredited courses.

Mayfield CALP has been an active community education provider for over 30 years in community and has always put emphasis on providing a space for learning that is safe, encouraging & respectful. It is important for CALP to be able to provide accredited options along side the non accredited options as it gives people choice, variety of course content and progression routes.

A new free opportunity available to people living in the community. This pilot is in conjunction with DCU, Cork Education and Training Board, Cork City Council and is being rolled out in Mayfield.

It is open to adults of all ages (over 18) and sessions are mainly discussion based, experiential and participants will receive handouts.
