We ARE sooo back!
Welcome back everyone and welcome incoming first years.
Our first meeting/ EGM will be held on Wednesday September 23rd in Boole 6 at 19:00.
Even if you do not intend to run for a position, you are very welcome to attend, meet the committee and other club members, and take part in the vote. The evening will also serve as an opportunity for members to get to know each other, and we will be providing tea, coffee, and snacks throughout.
Here are short descriptions of the positions available - if you want to know more just email us!
Vice Captain:
- Assist the captain and committee in running the club.
Equipment Officer:
- Manage our equipment container, take inventory, replace broken/out-of-date equipment and order new stuff!
Training and Events Officer:
- Handle logistics of weekly events; equipment, transport and location. New, fun ideas for training are welcome!
First Year Representative:
- Represents first year members, shares their feedback with the committee, and helps to encourage new members to get involved and feel welcome
OCM (Only elected when all other positions are filled out):
- Assist other committee members
Any and all candidates must inform the club of their intention to run for a committee position by emailing us no later than 24 hours before the EGM. ([email protected])
Please also prepare a short speech (2 minute maximum) on who you are, the role you would like, and any other ideas you want to put forward. If you are unable to attend, you can email us your speech and it will be read out on your behalf.
Don’t worry, you do not need to be experts! This is a great opportunity to meet and work with new people, be a bigger part of Rovers and of course, gain skills for your CV!
