Last night John had the pleasure of presenting Melanie, one of our First Responders, with a
Letter of Commendation from National Ambulance Service on her recent call out in Glanmire, where she saved a child that was choking. It was beautifully framed by Paul Sharkey, group coordinator.

What a fantastic emotional interview on Cork's Red FM this morning with the mother of a child from the area who needed the services of our first responders in the last few days and from Melanie, our responder, who attended the incident.

Thankfully there was a positive outcome due to Melanie who was on call and responded extremely quickly. The importance of these brilliant responders is so evident when you listen to Nicole talk about her experience. Well done to all our responders and thank you. A huge THANK YOU to our Glanmire First Responders who attended 5 incidents in the Glanmire area in the last few days and provided crucial treatment. I’ts so important to be so near an incident and to be able to provide treatment quickly. THANK YOU to them all.

A training night for our volunteers where they covered infant cpr, adult cpr and scenario of cardiac arrest in an enclosed space.
