We're currently recruiting for two exciting roles and would love to hear from compassionate, motivated people who want to make a real difference across Worcestershire 🤗

🚪 𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳
Help people sleeping rough or at risk of returning to the streets access support, secure accommodation and move towards a more stable future. This role involves building trusted relationships and working alongside individuals who may be disengaged from services.

🚪 𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯 𝘏𝘶𝘣 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳
Provide person-centred support through our growing Malvern service, helping people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity and multiple disadvantage access support as early as possible, both from our Hub and through community outreach.

🌧 Help People Stay Warm This Autumn 🌧

As the days get shorter and the temperatures begin to drop, many of us are reaching for our jumpers, turning the heating on and settling into the comfort of home.

For people experiencing homelessness and hardship, however, autumn can bring a whole new set of challenges.

At Maggs, we're already seeing increased demand for warm clothing, waterproofs, hats, gloves and everyday essentials as we prepare for the colder months ahead.

If you'd like to help, we're currently welcoming donations of:

We love seeing our Clothing Project shelves fully stocked, but keeping them that way takes a community. 𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱? 🤔

Every item on these shelves helps us provide practical support to people experiencing homelessness and hardship across the county.

💚 Each donation makes a tangible difference to someone's day, and they also also send a powerful message to the people who access our services: 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

Although we're lucky to have such wonderful supporters all year-round, seasonal changes often lead to greater demand for our services, and donations rarely stay on our shelves for long...

📣 Let's Keep the Conversation Going 🤝

It was really encouraging to see so many people marking World Homeless Day over the weekend and taking the time to talk about homelessness. But while awareness days help shine a spotlight on these issues, the need for support doesn't disappear when the day is over.

Every day of the year, Maggs supports people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity and hardship across Worcestershire. Through our Day Centres, Outreach Team, Housing Support, Clothing Project and community hubs, we're here to provide practical help, build trusted relationships and support people towards greater stability.

Homelessness is often far more complex than many people realise. Behind every person is a unique story, and that's why we're passionate about keeping these conversations going 🙌

The more we talk about homelessness, the more we challenge stereotypes, build understanding and help create communities where people feel supported rather than judged.

So let's continue asking questions, learning more and looking out for one another.

Because while World Homeless Day may have passed, our commitment to supporting people across Worcestershire continues every single day of the year💚
