Worcester Angling Society Worcester Angling Society is believed to be the second oldest coarse angling club in the country.

The Society controls fishing on three beats of the River Teme (renowned for its Barbel and chub fishing) which total approximately five miles. One stretch approx. 1 mile on the Severn at Lower Diglis (west bank below the footbridge) and three beats on the river Wye at Bishopswood to around 2 miles. The Society also owns a pool at Brockamin near Leigh, which offers fishing for Carp, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Perch and Tench.

`Carp' pool winner was Dave Twigg with 17lb 6oz off peg 15

Finding a better stamp of fish proved decisive for first place Jeff (Chub) and second place Neil (Bream).
Catching a steady stream of smaller samples was enough to give Stuart third place.

The next society competition moves to the river Severn at Diglis on Sunday 11/10/26

While everyone was picking up small silver fish, Dave found a better stamp of fish for a comfortable win.

Silver winner Jeff Gutteridge with 4lb 13oz off peg 15

A good win for Dave who caught Carp steady close in throughout the match on various baits for a comfortable win and best weight of the series.
Jeff found a better stamp of Roach and Perch for one of the best weights of Silvers throughout the competitions.
