It’s with great sadness we advise on the passing of Clive Cummings, family man and to all that met him a true gentleman, he was a long term committee member and could always be relied upon when required, his sensible and logical council applied to his friendship as well as his fishing. His name is immortalised on every one of our competition cups. He will be sadly missed by us all.

Had a compliant from one of the neighbours at Bishopswood tonight, it appears that 3 anglers are parking on private land, leaving the van and going fishing at the bottom of the Bishopswood section.
Firstly no club member should be parking there, secondly we don't know if they are even members, if you are please contact us and i will remove the pictures of your van, if anyone knows the owner let us know, if it turns out they are non members we can take further action for theft of fishing rites. We also have pictures of the anglers returning to the van!

Any car found parking in this area will now automatically see there vehicle posted on here, its simple stop parking where your not welcome, there is no need for it, just use our own car park.

Andy found his old membership from 1979 can anyone beat it? I cant find last years, great memorabilia

DEAR MEMBERS PLEASE BE AWARE AND VIGILANT!

Due to the present water levels and temperatures reducing the amount of angling presence, we are being poached daily on the Wye, several instances poaching in the last week, where even when warned they just move and return! In this week we have had one instance of 40lb of fish confiscated and returned to the river ( mostly dead) two more individuals thrown off and moved, an entire family from Colford that think its free fishing! This is on top of all the swimmers, campers, canoe and paddle boarders using the beaches as resorts defecating , littering and building fires (do we need to tell you the issue there with Thomas wood next to us. There is no control on gravels that are spawning grounds.
On top of this the wantent damage to fences, gates and farmers crops on what is Private land. It seems that Wye is a playground for the hungry and vacationers 😡😡😡
