6 lovely ladies had a great natter over lunch at the Barn Owl today. We were only a small group but in some ways it's better because everyone is able to join in the conversation.

Our monthly meeting was Robert Booth talking about "The Sweet Life in Bournville". This extremely informative talk covered the history of Bournville with amazing then & now photographs, showing how things have changed in the last, almost 150 years. The ladies were absolutely enthralled 😁 by Robert's talk & we all learned things we didn't know previously. He spoke about the workforce reducing from up to 15,000 in the fifties to 1,300 in the last few years. Yet, they are able to produce more chocolate 🍫products with fewer employees.
He spoke about the history of the Cadbury brothers - George & Richard & the Bournville Village Trust.
All in all, another great evening & another wonderful speaker.

We had the most amazing cocktail 🍹🍸 evening with just the four of us 🍾🥂!!! We tried different cocktails, a bottle of prosecco, tequila honey shots, bought by a stranger & some baby Guinness too!!! We had the most amazing conversations & possibly our favourite night out!!! All in all a fabulous night out 💗!!!

Five of our lovely members joined in on a day trip to Windsor, arranged through Worcestershire Federation of WIs. They had the most amazing time as you can see 😁. King Charles didn't invite them in for coffee ☕. Can only assume he wasn't in 😂!!! The weather was kind too, lucky ladies ❤️!!!

I can honestly say that the new Thursday night games session is an absolute success 😁💞🥳!!! We had the most amazing time with a newbie joining us too!!! Sort of an initiation ceremony 😂!!!
As it was so nice, weather-wise, today, we got out in the garden with Giant Jenga & a silly hoopla game ☺️. Riitta knocked them down (Jenga) but we did good nevertheless 😆.
Back indoors & played The Frogs Tiddlywinks which Mary won. She likes to stroke their bottom 🍑.
Then on to Pick Up Sticks which Louise & Elaine won. Finally, several rounds of Skyjo, congratulations 🎉 🏆 Elaine for winning 💖!!!
P.S. Sue had a drink every time a three appeared, or 2+1, 5-2, etc!!!
Elaine just kept drinking 💦!!!
All in all a really successful evening, thank you ladies for making it so much fun 💓💓💓!!!
