Stolen from the Shop yesterday was the ticket sales money - about £250 😥. Half was going to the musicians and half towards keeping the church running. We're hoping that many more people are planning to buy tickets... it will be a very enjoyable concert in a beautiful setting. Bar open before the concert and in the interval.

OPEN GARDENS: ANOTHER RECORD-BREAKING YEAR!
We have made about £14,000 profit!

Huge thanks to:
> The team doing the Fabulous Food in the Village Hall, and at home making all those tasty dishes.
> The gardeners whose wondrous creations attracted people from as far away as Cornwall.
> The car park stewards and ticket-sellers welcoming and guiding hundreds of visitors.
> The bric a brac and plant stalls which added to the enjoyment of visitors and funds raised, and the art exhibition showcasing local talents.
> The people doing publicity, putting-up banners and posters that brought people to us, and the shelter outside the village hall that protected them from the elements.
> Everyone who gave generously their time, money, bric a brac and plants.
> AND ALL OF YOU WHO CAME, PAID, LOOKED, ATE, DRANK, BOUGHT AND APPRECIATED.

For the church, the funds raised enable us to continue to do regular maintenance and minor repairs, which should enable us to avoid crises and emergency appeals that are necessary when villages are unable to provide the ongoing care that these ancient and beautiful buildings require. We are very grateful for this support.

And I am sure the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Children's Hospice South West equally value the help that their share of the profits will be in continuing their vital work.

THANK YOU
