Thank you Minehead & West Somerset Hockey Club!!!

This week, we were kindly invited along to Minehead & West Somerset Hockey Club to be presented with an amazing £408 donation, as the Freddie Pring Memorial Fund being one of their chosen charities from their summer league mixed teams league.

During my speech, it was lovely to reflect on how many individuals and groups we have been able to support and fund, and the difference the Fund continues to make within our local community.

The purpose of the Freddie Pring Memorial Fund is to provide financial support for additional coaching and sporting development, inclusive to all. The Fund focuses on helping individuals and groups grow, develop and reach their potential.

A huge thank you to everyone at Minehead & West Somerset Hockey Club for choosing to support us. Your support means so much to us. ❤️

LMS Cricket Tournament 2026, round up :

This was our sixth tournament and we are absolutely delighted to have raised £2,044.45

But, as always, for us, it is about so much more than the money raised. The ethos of the Freddie Pring Memorial Fund will always be about bringing people together and raising funds. For us, those two things go hand in hand.

We will never take for granted the support we get !

There are so many people to thank, so here goes.

Firstly, a huge thank you to Minehead Cricket Club for allowing us to use the grounds.

Thank you to our format team, Dom Westcott, Ian Buchanan ,Sam Price Without you three, the foundations of the day simply would not be there.

Thank you to every single player and supporter who turned up and supported us. Without you, we simply could not do it.

We were also incredibly lucky this year to have some fantastic donations.

A huge thank you to Mart Cakeryfor donating 24 boxes of freshly baked sweet treats .

Thank you to Cafe / Bar 21 for donating the Prosecco for our high teas. I am sure that was very much enjoyed by many of you.

Thank you toJeeves Biscotti for providing the music and helping create such a lovely atmosphere.

Thank you to The Party Crew for donating the bouncy castle and keeping the children entertained.

And then there are our amazing helpers who turn up every single year without fail. Mandy Wilcox,Gavin Matthews.

Thank you to Nat Leader helping support us with the pizzas, and to Niamh Brooks for collecting them .

Bambi's Cove for their support with quite a list in an hour of panic 😂

And finally, thank you to everyone who has supported the Fund in any way.

The Fund has made huge positive impacts to many people’s life’s deeper than you may realise .

That is a wrap on LMS 2026.

Thank you all so much.

Food at This Year's LMS Cricket Event:

Our Sweet Treats Takeaway, Savoury Bag Takeaway and delicious pasties and kids lunch boxes will all be available throughout the day.

Every penny raised from the sale of our Sweet Treats Takeaway, Savoury Bag Takeaway and pasties goes directly into The Fund, helping us to continue raising funds to support sports coaching within our community. Thank you for your support.

To help take the pressure off the day and allow us organisers to spend more time enjoying the event with everyone, we've also introduced Wetherspoons pizza collection this year which Nat Leader kindly agreed to supporting us with this .

You order and pay on the Wetherspoons app. We collect. Nice and easy.

Simply order your pizza on the Wetherspoons app to Table 5501 by half past the hour.

We will collect the pizzas on the hour, starting from around 3.30 pm, and bring them straight over to the cricket pavilion for you.

Please order pizzas only to Table 5501, as we will not be able to collect any other food or drinks through the app.

If you need any help placing your order, just pop into the kitchen at the cricket club and one of our volunteers will be happy to help.
