We are looking to recruit a Premises Assistant to help us look after the appearance of Eastcott Community Centre.

Hours: 10 hours per week
Salary: £13.50 per hour

If you are interested in keeping community spaces clean and welcoming we'd love to hear you!

We're delighted to share the photos from our recent Eastcott Big Lunch 2026. It was a fantastic community day with lots of delicious food, fabulous music from Bone Chapel, and neighbours becoming friends.

We've got more of the same at tomorrow's Swindon Repair Café and Free Shop. Come along with any household or sewing repairs, and enjoy lots of lovely cakes.

We've got a special music offer as well. Swindon Hub Music Jam group will be doing a free jam. They will have lots of spare instruments for anyone who'd like to join in. Or feel free to bring along your own.

Drop along any time between 2-5pm tomorrow at Eastcott Community Centre.

Our Eastcott Big Lunch 2026 is in full swing at Eastcott Community Centre! 🥳

Come along for FREE food, live music from Bone Chapel from 2.30, and craft activities for the kids!

We took a detour though the Town Gardens last night as we delivered the last of the Eastcott Community Centre newsletters and flyers for tomorrow's Eastcott Big Lunch 2026.

We're so glad we did! The rose garden in particular looks spectacular at the moment. So many beautiful colours and varieties. And the scent! 🌷 ✨

If you've not been up there lately, try and catch them while they're in all their full blooming glory.

Thank you to all of the South Swindon Parish Council gardeners and team for everything you do to gift us such a glorious park to enjoy 🌷🌺🙌

We're delighted to announce the brilliant Bone Chapel as our live music for Eastcott Big Lunch 2026! 🥳🫶

Led by local legend (Pete) Peter Cousins with the soulful-powerhouse Sandra Glindon on vocals, plus their amazing full band.

Catch them between 2.30 - 3.30 for a great mix of blues and boogie music.

The Big Lunch runs from 12 - 4pm at Eastcott Community Centre this Saturday 20th June.

Drop in any time for a lovely, relaxed community lunch. We'll be providing FREE food and hot and soft drinks, or feel free to bring a dish to share 🍰🥪🥧☕️

We'll also have fun FREE activities for the kids 👧🎨

Tomorrow's Swindon Repair Café & Free Shop will be a more intimate event, with our lovely sewing team on hand to help with any sewing repairs. Plus delicious treats and drinks from the cafe, and lots of goodies available to take home from the Free Shop.

Pop along for a cuppa, a browse and a chat! We'll be open from 2 - 5pm at Eastcott Community Centre ☕️🍰

The music and rest of the repair team will be back for the Sunday 5th July Repair Café.

Volunteers and musicians needed! We are looking for a bit of extra help at next Sunday’s Repair Cafe (10th May) as some of our team can’t make it. So if you are good at fixing stuff, or if you are a musician who fancies playing a set, drop us an email on [email protected]. There’s a great atmosphere, plus free tea and cake for all volunteers! Please get in touch and help us with this amazing community event!
