When you embark on a journey like Nina’s Law, you quickly realise just how important family, friends and the incredible people you meet along the way really are.

I just want to take a moment to reflect on how far Nina’s Law has come and, most importantly, to say a huge heartfelt thank you to every single one of you.

This journey wouldn't be the same without you. Here's to everything we've achieved together and the difference we can still make. 💖

I wasn't born disabled. After a traumatic experience following a tsunami, I later developed MS, and my life changed dramatically.

But I haven't let that stop me. I've turned my experiences into a purpose: fighting and campaigning for better care and making a difference for disabled people and families across the UK.

To have nearly 50,000 signatures supporting Nina's Law is incredible. And now, after years of campaigning, Lord Hunt of Kings Heath has brought forward amendments in the House of Lords seeking to strengthen the right to have a nominated Health and Care Partner.

Nothing is guaranteed yet, but this is the progress we've been fighting for!

From where I started to where I am now, it's been an absolute whirlwind.

But sometimes in life, you feel destined to make a difference and help others, and that's exactly what this journey has become for me.

I now know more than ever what I need to do, and that's to help you and families across the UK. 💖

Having a disability should never mean accepting poor standards of care. We deserve better, and we're not going to accept things as they are anymore.

This is why I'm fighting for Nina's Law. 💪🏻

A big thank you to Cllr.Gordon Slade for visiting me last week to show his support for what Nina’s Law is trying to achieve.

It was great to have the opportunity to talk about the campaign and the change we’re working so hard to make. Gordon has shown that he is fully behind the campaign and what Nina’s Law stands for.

Every bit of support helps us raise awareness, build momentum and bring us one step closer to achieving our goal.

Also I’m very grateful to Will Stone for Swindon North for the work he’s been doing behind the scenes to help!

I need to be honest and get something off my chest.

When Nina’s Law started gaining traction, I had conversations with local councillors including Will Stone for Swindon North, Heidi Alexander for Swindon South and Simon Opher for Stroud and was given promises of support for me and this campaign. I genuinely believed we had people behind us who would help take this forward.

Sadly, a lot of those promises haven’t materialised. Some of the people I was speaking to are now not even answering my calls, and I’m finding myself wondering where that support has gone.

Over the past six months, Nina’s Law has had some incredible support and coverage from both local and national media. We’ve reached thousands of people, and the message has never been more important.

But right now, I feel like the campaign has gone quiet.

The Change.org petition has nearly 50,000 signatures, showing just how many people believe this issue matters. But we’ve had to start a separate Parliamentary Petition, which currently has just under 1,600 signature.

The deadline is Friday 8th October 2026.

I’ve put everything I have into Nina’s Law because I genuinely believe disabled people deserve to have the people who know them best supporting them in hospital.

So I’m asking you - what can we do?

Sometimes you have to take a moment and to reflect and realise just how far you’ve come. 💗

From seeing Nina’s Law become reality at my hometown hospital, to giving incredible people a voice through my podcast, this journey has been filled with moments I’ll never forget.

What started as a vision is making a real difference to families, and that means everything to me.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has believed in Nina’s Law, supported the journey and helped make it possible.

There’s still more to do, but today, I’m simply feeling thankful. 💗

Sorry I've been a little quiet lately, but I've been back in hospital.

The one positive to come from this admission is that I've been able to see Nina's Law working in person at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Seeing and experiencing firsthand the difference it makes to have your carers with you during such a difficult time has made me incredibly proud.

Having the people who know you best by your side provides comfort, reassurance, and better care. It's exactly why I started this campaign.

A huge thank you to everyone at Great Western Hospital for embracing these changes and leading the way. I hope I won't be in hospital for too much longer and will be back home soon.

In the meantime, please keep signing my Government Petition. Together, we can make sure everyone across the UK has access to their carers when they're in hospital.
