At Swindon Carers Together, we understand that when you're caring for someone else, finding time for yourself isn't always easy. That's why we've planned a range of supportive, enjoyable, and informative activities for unpaid carers across Swindon throughout January–June 2027.

Whether you're looking to:

There's something for everyone, and we'd love for you to join us.

Our events are designed to help you feel supported, learn something new, and be part of a community that understands the caring role.

We had a wonderful Arts & Crafts session this week at Meadowcroft! Carers got creative decorating glass ramekin jars with their own colourful and unique designs. There was also plenty of beautiful bead jewellery making, with bracelets and earrings lovingly crafted as special treats for themselves or thoughtful gifts for loved ones. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such an enjoyable afternoon.

Join us next month for our final Arts & Crafts session of the year, which will have a festive theme.

🏃‍♂️ 700 marathons… and he’s still going!

Meet Michael, a registered carer with Swindon Carers Together, whose incredible story combines a passion for running with caring for his mum. With over 1,000 miles run this year alone, Michael’s journey is truly inspiring!

Michael, a registered carer since February 2020, is a wonderful example of how caring can shape our lives, while determination and resilience can keep us moving forward. Join our second Carers Strategy Focus Group and share your views to help shape the future of support for unpaid carers across Swindon.

The session will include dedicated discussions for both parent carers and adult carers, giving you the opportunity to share your experiences and help shape the next draft of the strategy.
