You spend so much time caring for someone else that it's easy to forget about yourself. The appointments, medications, paperwork, phone calls, and daily routines can quickly become part of everyday life. You just get on with it because someone you love needs you.

If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.

We're here for you. Swindon Carers Together can provide practical information, emotional support, peer groups, and opportunities to connect with other carers. We’ll work with you to help you find the support that’s right for your situation.

During , and in line with this year's theme, Building Carer Friendly Communities, we were proud to host two engagement sessions to help shape Swindon's future Carers Strategy.

We were delighted to welcome Adam Huxley, Commissioning Contract Manager, and Joy Kennard, Head of Adult Commissioning, from Swindon Borough Council.

These conversations are an important step towards creating a more supportive and inclusive future for unpaid carers across our town. By listening to carers' experiences, insights and priorities, we can ensure their voices are at the heart of future planning and support.

Together, we're listening to carers, learning from their experiences and turning their voices into action.
