Funding is now open for National Windrush Day 2026 — supporting projects that celebrate, preserve, and amplify the legacy of the Windrush generation across Wales.
This is for organisations ready to deliver meaningful, community-led impact — from cultural events and storytelling to education, heritage, and intergenerational work.
💡 Who can apply: Registered charities, CICs, constituted groups and organisations
💰 Funding available: Up to £2,000 per project
📌 What it covers: Revenue costs only (project staff, contractors, materials, travel, refreshments, etc.)
🚫 Note: No capital spend is permitted
📊 Applications must clearly demonstrate:
• Strong engagement with local communities and Windrush generation voices
• A clear understanding of Windrush history and how it will be represented
• Proper governance, safeguarding, inclusion, and equality policies in place
• Delivery of a post-project evaluation (with images/videos as evidence)
