We were delighted to be invited to the Skills Partnership Pledge Dinner last night, where we officially signed the Skills Pledge Partnership with Stoke on Trent College.
This exciting opportunity is a direct result of the success of our Zero to Hero in the Kitchen cooking programme, which saw 54 veterans and family members cook more than 60 recipes, all chosen by the participants themselves.
A special thank you goes to Clare Clohsey from the College, who facilitated the courses alongside our Programme Manager. Clare was an incredible source of support and encouragement for everyone taking part throughout the programme.
The programme was funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and supported by the Defence Medical Welfare Service.
We were proud to be among a number of organisations signing the pledge, including Stoke City F.C., Port Vale F.C., Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID and Valentine Clays, to name just a few.
We look forward to developing this partnership and are confident it will create valuable opportunities and positive outcomes for our veterans, their families, and the wider community.
