We’ve had a busy few weeks at Windmills HQ, more painting, furniture removals and building compliance.
We’ve been lucky enough to have support from some generous local businesses, special mentions go to Dave Rushton at Health Safety FireSafety Fire for all his help in starting to get us Fire Safe and compliant, Horeca for the decorating volunteers and today we had a new office junior come to help…the beautiful Myla came to supervise her Dad, Paul Harrison whilst he was installing our new fire extinguishers 🐶🐾

What a fab day yesterday at Trentham Estate for the Community Day!

It was wonderful to meet so many local people, share what Windmills does, and raise vital funds to support our service. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated, chatted, and took part throughout the day

And special mention goes to gorgeous baby Dexter, who enjoyed the lucky dip so much he decided he wanted to be one of the prizes himself!

Sorry, its been some time! Hiya, its Zara. Can you believe the BIG day has come and gone! I cant! It feels so surreal and if I didnt have the medal and all of my wonderful memories, I wouldn't believe that I completed the London Marathon 2026! The crowds were out of this world. Hundreds of people shouted my name and so many kiddies gave me a high five. The weather was beautiful but not what I trained in through a cold and wet winter. Knowing I got to see my people on Tower Bridge and hearing the roar of the crowds, as I approached made my skin tingle all over.
I made one rookie error of hitting the hoses to stay cool, which in turn gave me wet feet and caused some epic blistering across the ball of both feet. They eventually popped at mile 20, making the final 6 mile, a battle of wills. My goal was to have a great time, not to achieve a time and to finish on the Mall.
I did it folks! I had a blast, marked my Dads 80th birthday in a monumental way, raised money for our pioneering charity and had the honour of carrying your loved ones along the route of a multi world record holding marathon. As far as legacies go, I think thats rather epic!
The blisters are healing, Im missing the training schedule and feel a little lost but Im also incredibly proud and so thankful to you all for the messages of support and generous donations.
