Role Description for Chell Pantry Pantry Coordinator Vacancy
The role includes the following duties, although you may just be in one particular place during the time that the Pantry is operating. So your duties may include;
• Ensure adherence to Chell Parish Safeguarding Procedures
• Coordination of the Pantry volunteers.
As a key holder responsibility for opening and closing up Church of the Saviour
• Collection of the food from Supermarkets through the Neighbourly and Caboodle systems (access to own sourced transport required)
• Unpacking and stacking food donations in the Pantry Room
• Packing the guests food items from their pick list
• Taking the food basket/trolley to them in the Hall
• At times, waiting with the guest whilst they check their shopping against their pick list
• Topping up the hot water flasks and biscuits as needed for the tea and coffee point for the guests
• Removal of the packaging to the Café area
• Assist with setting up of the tables and chairs before the Pantry opens, and restacking them afterwards.
• General tidying up after Pantry closes
• There may be some lifting and reaching required
• There will be no lone working involved.
• It will not be compulsory for you, but may be necessary, to have to stay for the full duration of the Pantry, including the 30 minutes before the Pantry is open.
THE POST IS FOR A FIXED 12 MONTH PERIOD WHICH MAY BE EXTENDED SUBJECT TO FUNDING.
