Staffordshire 3 Peaks Challenge done!!!
What a day. 18 miles in 7 hours with the three highest peaks in Staffordshire conqered.... And, around £12,000 raised for the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
I have to admit that it was physically one of the toughest things I've done for a few years, but wouldn't have missed it for anything. Love being a Staffordshire Freemason! So much more than meeting in Lodges.

As I've said before, being a Freemason is so much more than meeting in Lodges. This coming Saturday, 27th July, myself and 12 other Staffordshire Masons will be out in the Peak District completing the Staffordshire 3 Peaks Challenge:
13 Masons
17.8 miles
3 Peaks
2800 feet climbed
In under 8 hrs
With 10kg backpacks
Here are a few pics from the past 6 months of training walks. Buzzing with excitement now and raring to go!
Hard work. Excellent company. Great fun. (Pretty much sums up Freemasonry), and all whilst raising funds for the Masonic Charitable Foundation. Wish us luck and stay tunned for more updates 👍

A Massive congratulations to John O'Gaunt member Mark Sewell following his Return to Gerards ride yesterday. A highly emotional day for a very popular member not just of our own lodge but across the Province.

One of the great misconceptions about modern Freemasonry in the UK is that we are exclusively male. This is a falsehood which is often used by our detractors to denounce and disparage us. A most enjoyable evening at John O'Gaunt Lodge tonight, for what will be our last regular meeting before the summer break, where Bro Alex Sproston (right) was raised to the third degree in Freemasonry in a ceremony lead by W.Bro Laurence Bagguley (left) and the rest of the John O'Gaunt team.

A most enjoyable day, with 5 members of John O'Gaunt Lodge being amongst the 318 Freemasons who met at the County Showground.

Love being a part of this amazing organisation.

Provincial Grand Lodge Meeting

Tuesday 14th May saw 318 masons from Staffordshire and beyond meet at the County Showground, Stafford for the annual Provincial Grand Lodge meeting, where the Head of Staffordshire freemasons, John Lockley made his appointments for 2024/25 (promotions will follow later in the year).

The Province sends many congratulations to all those honoured this year.
