We're looking forward to celebrating and sharing what we do over the next few days as our Rainbows, Brownies and Guides wear their uniforms to school. Look out for us and ask us what we enjoy the most!

Last year, Rosie Howells won a Borough Heroes Award for Civic Pride ⭐

For over 40 years, Rosie has led Girlguiding groups in the Westlands area.

She helps young people:
✅ Learn new skills
✅ Build confidence
✅ Make friends
✅ Support their community

Rosie also fundraises so that no one misses out because of money. Her kindness and commitment have changed lives 💛

Do you know someone like Rosie in your area? Someone who quietly gives their time to help others?

Clayton Rainbows decorated a Christmas tree and then donated it to a local care home where one of the Rainbows' relatives lives. The residents enjoyed putting the finishing touches to the tree, admiring their badges and sharing stories of their Girlguiding past. The tree is now in the foyer of the home for all residents and visitors to enjoy. A lovely way of Rainbows sharing some festive joy 🎄🥰🌈

3rd Clayton Brownies had fun at their Christmas Party this week enjoying games, crafts, food and dancing. One talented Brownie even made a photo frame to capture the fun and memories 🥰🥳🎅🎉

Our Rainbows had a jolly time at Santa's Christmas Party at the Mitchell Arts Centre. They danced, cheered, sang, made decorations and got a special gift from Santa himself 🎅 A great way to get into the festive spirit with their Rainbow friends 🥰🌈

❄️⛸️Our Brownies, Guides and Rangers took to the ice at Winter Wonderland Stoke on Trent with many trying skating for the first time! They took on the challenge, showed awesome confidence and picked up new skills in no time! ❄️⛸️

Westlands Brownies & Guides will have their tuck shop at Lyme Valley Parkway junior parkrun this Sunday at 9am. Come along for a run and to but a treat or two to support us 🏃💛

This Sunday, one of our wonderful volunteers, Charli, is collecting selection boxes for Newcastlestaffs Foodbank. She has already done a collection at The local 5ks and we thought it would be great to get involved too!

If you would like to donate, please bring your selection boxes to the start where Charli will be ready to collect them! If you're able to add anything else to your donation, then the foodbank also require: UHT milk, toothpaste, tinned soup, tinned fruit, and coffee.

If anyone is free to volunteer on Sunday it would be very much appreciated.

Don’t forget we have the brownies tuck shop this weekend too, including hot drinks and Xmas treats

5 of our amazing Rangers have recently completed over 8 hours of unit meeting activities, 2 skill builder badges, 2 interest badges and 2 theme badges to achieve their Ranger Bronze Awards. This is no easy feat when working around things like work, proms and exams so we are super proud of them all! Well Done Rangers 🤩

When your theme is "Winter" and your volunteers bring the snow ❄️❄️

Clayton Rainbows enjoyed playing in the snow storm before having a cup of hot chocolate, making snowflakes and taking a hot chocolate recipe to try at home. All part of enjoying the seasons for their Great Outdoors badge 🍂❄️😎
