Lots of girls from our District had the most amazing time spending the week on a Division international trip to The Netherlands. It was a week of friendships, exploring and great opportunities for the girls. We are grateful to everyone who joins in our fundraising efforts whether that's coming to a Jumble Sale or buying a reindeer hot chocolate, all efforts big and small make things like this happen!💙💛

There was a buzz from 1st Westlands Rainbows & Brownies this evening as they had a visit from Newcastle Staffs RUFC Official to earn their Rugby badge!

The girls had an introduction to Rugby, learnt drills, some handling a rugby ball for the first time commented "I didn't know girls could play rugby too!". It was a brilliant night and we are very grateful to Newcastle Rugby club for coming and training our 50 girls! We are lucky to have these local connections, get girls involved- girls can do anything!

1st Westlands Rainbows had afternoon fun at Brampton today! They played in the sandpit, had an ice-cream, rode on a mini train, played on the park and most importantly visited the museum, taking part in a little quiz/hunt- they were VERY surprised to see Rainbow Bear had sneaked his way into the museum! Cheeky Rainbow bear 🙈🤣💕

We'll take a little pause at sharing stuff we've been up over the last couple of months...for good reason, as this weekend we've done something very exciting!

🐟43 of Newcastle South Districts Brownies have been on a sleepover to Birmingham Sealife Centre! Yesterday afternoon we set off, had a dominoes pizza on arrival, dropped off our luggage and went around for our own private tour! We then embarked on a Journey to Atlantis activity before taking up our sleeping spots for the evening...in the Shark tunnel!🦈

The girls were a credit to their parents and we have the most amazing Volunteer team who make all this possible! 💙

The number 1 question we get from our Rainbows is always how much we get paid to be leader- we dont! 🤣 We volunteer because we love it, and love seeing what our girls get out of guiding!

We have a wonderful group of volunteers here in Newcastle South District- if you've ever been interested in getting involved please clink the link and register💕
