The nursing team were back out doing what they love on Wednesday night. Hot food, hot chocolate, and plenty of snacks were provided, along with nursing care to clients through the homesless outreach at the Macari Centre, Stoke Town Centre, Fenton, Longton, and Hanley City Centre. We can't thank you enough for the donations.

Behind every statistic is a person, and organisations like C2CH never forget that. 🧡🖤

C2CH works tirelessly to support individuals experiencing homelessness, many of whom face complex challenges, including isolation, trauma, and barriers to accessing services. Their approach is rooted in connection, building trust, offering consistent support, and helping people take meaningful steps forward.🫶

We’re proud that C2CH is also one of our Sleep Pod Hubs. By storing and distributing Pods locally, they help ensure practical protection reaches those who need it most, quickly, compassionately, and without delay. In harsh weather, that immediate protection can make a critical difference, while their ongoing support creates a pathway beyond the streets.

This is what partnership looks like: practical help combined with human connection.💪

You can read more about how our hubs and partners are creating impact across the UK on our distribution stories page 👉 https://sleeppod.org.uk/get-involved/distribution/

We’re always looking to expand our network of Sleep Pod Hubs. If your organisation could help us reach more communities, we’d love to connect.

And as always, sharing, commenting, or liking this post helps us grow this network of support and awareness. 🧡🖤

A little info about our story with sleep pods.
In 2021 we started our CIC Veterans Connect. One of the directors had used sleep pods before, when he was a trustee at a veterans charity.

We then got some money together, and purchased our first 20 pods from Sleep Pod

To help raise needed funds, we decided to do "a sleep out".Not for one night, but a whole week. And as we were in the unique city of Stoke on Trent, we would stop 1 night in each of the 6 towns that made up the City. Finishing in our close neighbour, the borough of Newcastle under Lyme, on the 7th.

There was a hard core of 4 of us that slept out the whole week, and up to another 6, that stopped with us on 2 or 3 of the nights. We slept that whole week on the streets of Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley, Fenton, Longton, Stoke the last Newcastle under Lyme. All of us in sleep pods. We had 3 storms during the February we stopped out. Wind, rain and very cold. All of us were warm, dry and comfortable in our pods.

In some of the towns we invited the rough sleepers that came to us to stop over with us. Kitting them out with a pod too.

It was the best test we could of done. A roaring success for us as a fledgling non profit.

In 2024 we became a charity. Unfortunately, the charity commission insisted we changed our name, so C2CH was born from Veterans Connect.

Now in 2026 we help distribute sleep pods in and around the centre of the UK on the behalf of

It's sad to see they are still needed, but while they are, we will continue to get them out there.

🚚🧡 Big movement, big impact.🖤

This week has been all about teamwork and getting vital kit where it’s needed most:

100 Sleep Pods have landed at C2CH

60 Sleep Pods are now with Focus4Hope, ready for collection

150 Pods collected from HMP Addiewell, soon to be allocated to frontline charities

6,000 canes collected from UK Bamboo (without Ian having to break his back! 😉)

None of this happens without brilliant partners! A huuuuge thank you to the amazing team at Bunzl UK & Ireland for making all of this possible. When good people come together, real things move… fast.

Onwards, together. 🧡🖤
