⚠️ Samantha Franklin from Wiltshire has spent the last how many years targetting and harassing teams, including our team at Predator Awareness.

She has now appeared in court where she admitted downloading hundreds of child abuse images ‘to better harass a pa******le hunter'.

The 34-year-old, of Cove House Gardens in Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire, was handed a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, at Swindon Magistrates' Court.

More than 200 of the images Franklin had were deemed to be in the most serious category, with her crimes described as "abhorrent" by Wiltshire Police's lead investigator on the case Det Con Jason Walsh.

"Making indecent images of children is a serious offence and our team are committed to rooting out individuals like Franklin for their extremely abhorrent behaviour," Det Con Walsh said.

Det Con Walsh said: "During our investigation, we found more than 200 images classed as category A on Franklin's phone – these images depict the most serious abuse of children.

"Each one of these children in the images are victims."

Franklin was handed a 10-year S*xual Harm Prevention Order and the court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of her phone. She was also ordered to pay a £186 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

THOMAS EVANS abused three girls over several years in Rotherham. The youngest was nine years old.

He started offending as a teenager. He was still doing it as a married adult man.

He waited until the first day of trial to plead guilty, making his victims prepare to relive every detail, then pulling the rug at the last moment.

All three survivors stood in court anyway and faced him. One told him.. "You've shown me dangerous men can be quiet."

A domestic abuser who tried to suffocate and strangle his former partner has been jailed after she found the courage to report him.

Alistair Hopkinson repeatedly subjected the woman to various acts of violent behaviour last year while they were in a relationship.

His campaign of abuse saw him fly into a jealous rage and choke his victim not just once – but twice – to the point she then lost consciousness.

Hopkinson punched the woman in the face during the first incident on 29 August last year, before grabbing her by the throat until she blacked out.

The 31-year-old's violent behaviour then escalated still further on 19 September, when he grabbed her head and forced it into a pillow, leaving her struggling to breathe.

One month later – on 18 October – he strangled her again at a Nottinghamshire address until she passed out.

When she eventually regained consciousness, the woman managed to fight off her attacker and raise the alarm, with our officers arriving soon afterwards to put Hopkinson in handcuffs.

The woman then showcased immense bravery by sharing details of Hopkinson's violent behaviour with us, which made us able to charge him with a multitude of offences.

These included two counts of intentional strangulation, one count of intentional suffocation and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Having pleaded guilty to those charges, Hopkinson, of Chesterfield Road, Worksop, appeared before Nottingham Crown Court to be sentenced on Thursday (4 June).

He was subsequently jailed for two-and-a-half years and made the subject of a restraining order.

This will last until further order and bans him from contacting the woman in any way.

Multiple further charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour against the same woman were all left to remain on file.

Detective Constable Ryan Coupe said: "Alistair Hopkinson subjected this woman to a horrendous ordeal, so it is to her absolute credit she found the courage to report him to the police.

"Thanks to her bravery, not just at the time of the incidents but in the months since, we were able to build a strong case against Hopkinson that left him with no alternative but to admit what he'd done.

"We’re pleased to see he's now been sent to prison for his despicable actions, which – I'd like to emphasise once again – may not have been possible without her assistance.

"Tackling violence against women and girls is a priority for this police force, so our hope is that fellow survivors will follow this woman's lead by standing up to domestic abuse and reporting it.

"Our plea to anyone going through something similar is to please tell the police. As this case hopefully shows people – we will listen, you will be supported, and we will take action."

VIRAL TIKTOK INFLUENCER HAS VILE HIDDEN PAST OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

In 2014, the Examiner Live reported about A man facing charges of assaulting his partner reacted with swearing and kicking as he was taken into custody for a 10-day detention, resulting in him spending New Year’s Eve behind bars.

Gavin Proctor, aged 28 and residing on Johnson Street in Mirfield, is accused of physically assaulting Lauren Gabel at her residence on December 29.

Following the incident, police arrived at the scene and arrested him.

During his arrest, officers used CS gas spray to subdue him.

At the hearing in Huddersfield yesterday, magistrates were told Proctor was on bail at the time of the alleged offence.

The court briefly paused proceedings before denying him bail.

Proctor was remanded to custody and is scheduled to appear again before magistrates via video link on January 10.

We’re appealing for potential victims of a man who r***d a woman in a violent attack in Little Hulton, before watching the wrong man go to prison, to come forward.

Paul Quinn (52), now of Exeter, was today given an extended sentence of 24 years, after being unanimously found guilty of two counts of r**e, one count of choking with intent, and one count of grievous bodily harm.

This outcome has been possible due to the extraordinary courage and resilience shown by the victim, who has continued to engage with the criminal justice process through two trials.

Now, detectives who have led the painstaking reinvestigation are encouraging anyone else who may be a victim of Paul Quinn to come forwards with information, when they are ready.

We have apologised to the two victims impacted by this ordeal: the survivor of this heinous attack, and Mr Andrew Malkinson, who was the victim of a grave miscarriage of justice after wrongly being convicted and imprisoned for 17 years for a crime he didn't commit.

Detective Chief Superintendent Rebecca McKendrick, senior investigating officer on the case, said: “When Paul Quinn attacked and r***d a lone woman late that night in July 2003, he knew what he had done. He knew his crime was horrific and he knew how cowardly he was for watching another man go to prison.

“Twenty years later, he denied it – telling us he would have been ashamed of committing such an offence. Well tonight I hope that shame runs deep to his core.

“We know this outcome has come two decades too late for those impacted by this case. However, we will not allow time to be a barrier to justice for anyone who has further information about Paul Quinn and any further potential sexual offending.

“To commit such a violent attack raises concerns that there may be other victims out there.

“If you believe you have been a victim or have information you have not yet shared with us, please know we want to hear from you. We promise you that we will support you and we will listen to you.”

Anyone with information can call us on 101, or report via our website https://orlo.uk/UHUS6, quoting Operation Canopy. You can anonymously call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
