Yesterday Michael went out and cleared litter from Kirkleatham Lane and the lay-by in Kirkleatham Business Park. He said there wasn’t a great deal of litter and recognised that others had cleared the area recently so this was just a top up. Three bags of litter collected.

Gabbie was out yesterday at the lay-by on the A174 Lazenby by-pass near the Wilton Lane turn off and single lane one way road that goes into Lazenby. That’s a lot of litter collected by one person although she did say two bags were still there from last time she went out. Hopefully they will get collected this time round.

This morning six of us cleared litter from the side of Black Bridge in Redcar. We had to use loppers, secateurs and a hedge trimmer to cut our way through the undergrowth to get to the litter. We then walked around the park collecting more litter and finished off in the cafe there for a chinwag and refreshments. We were out of the wind most of the time and the sun was shining so we had good time. Strangest finds were a bore hole drill bit, marker paint, an Asda shopping trolley, a scooter and Christmas came early for Royce with the find of a Christmas tree!
