Amber's Hampers

Today marks what would have been Amber's 51st birthday, and thanks to the kindness and generosity of everyone involved, we were able to honour her by giving back to Rowans Hospice. They are an amazing organisation with inspirational staff. Their support is invaluable.

Words can't really express the mixture of emotions that have been felt today. Thank you, from our hearts, to everyone who played a part today.

When we all do a little, we truly can achieve a lot. 🙏🧡

We created Ambers Hampers in September 2025 in an attempt to continue the spirit of Amber. Who was a treasured Mum, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Auntie and friend to many. Amber was sadly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer on the 20/07/2023 and tragically passed on the 24/09/2024 aged only 49.

During her too short but impactful life, Amber spread love and joy, sometimes in places others wouldn't venture. For our first campaign we decided to support Stop Domestic Abuse, as this is a charity that Amber worked with for some time in her life. In the last 3 months of 2025, with your support we were able to donate 56 hampers to women living in refuge and £££'s worth of toys and craft supplies for the children.

And now in 2026, due to the support Rowans Hospice provided Amber and some of the family prior to and after her passing, we have decided to support them with our next project. We know personally the impact of the work they do and are sure many can relate. But we can't do it without you. Please, if you're able help us continue Ambers legacy of love, compassion and joy then please contribute any way you can.

Along side the memory boxes we would also like to support Rowans Hospice by donating supplies they need for the creative and complementary therapies they provide at the Living Well Centre. Some of the services they provide are:

Behind the mask - An opportunity for patients to take a deep dive into their life experiences, and express them using the creative process of mask-making to explore different questions and themes.

Memories made from fabrics - Gives individuals the opportunity to create something lasting from fabric that holds special memories.

Card making

Expressive painting

Expressive writing

Jewellery making workshops

Loose ends - Unfinished craft projects

And much more! And they provide all of this free of charge!

So please, give whatever you can. Whether that's sewing kits, paints, card, masks or pens and pencils, we would appreciate whatever you are able to donate to help us, help Rowans, continue their valuable projects for those going through some of life's toughest moments.

We always try to keep our posts positive, but we also want to be honest 🧡

This time, our campaign for Rowans Hospice has been a little quiet and hasn’t had the response we’d hoped for so far. These memory boxes and art supplies mean so much to families going through incredibly difficult times, they hold memories, comfort, and moments that matter forever.

If you’ve been meaning to donate or share, this is your gentle reminder. Even the smallest contribution of art supplies, keepsake items, or a share can make a real difference.
