Thank you Dana so much to you, your brother, and your aunty for the wonderful donation of toiletries, biscuits, and snack bars that you kindly brought to the soup kitchen.

The biscuits really did go down a treat with the 68 guests we fed this evening.

Everyone enjoyed a hot drink and plenty of biscuits while waiting for their hot meal, and your generosity helped make the evening that little bit more special.

Your support is greatly appreciated, and donations like yours make a real difference to the people we serve.

It was lovely to meet you this evening. Thank you again for your kindness, generosity, and support.

A huge thank you to the children and staff of Corpus Christi School for preparing sandwiches for our guests this evening. 🥪

As part of their "Serving the Community" topic, the children worked together in class today and made an incredible 85 sandwiches.

Your kindness, hard work, and community spirit are truly appreciated, and your efforts will make a real difference to our guests tonight.

A huge thank you to these lovely ladies from "The Good Companion Portsmouth" (At the end of the Eastern Road) who very kindly donated a wonderful amount of plates for us to use, as well as for the church and the many groups that use the hall each week.

It was so lovely to hear about your connection with the church hall that is used by the Soup Kitchen each week.

If it wasn’t for the kindness, dedication, and hard work of ladies and men like yourselves, and your mum/nan, and many other local people who spent years fundraising to help build the church hall, we simply wouldn’t have such a wonderful space to welcome and support our community each week.

Thank you for sharing your story and memories with us. We’re so glad you came in, had a look around, and took the chance to reminisce about such special times. 💖

The Good Companion at the end of Eastern Road has recently been refurbished and introduced a new menu, which meant these plates were no longer needed. We’re very grateful that instead of going to waste, they were kindly donated to help support the church and our local community groups.

Thank you so much Nicky for the kind donation of your dad’s clothes to the soup kitchen.

We know this must have been an incredibly difficult thing to do, especially after such a sad loss, and we are truly very grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness.

Please be assured that the clothes will be given to people who genuinely need them and will make a real difference to those facing hardship.

Your donation is not only practical support, but also a wonderful way for your dad’s belongings to continue helping others.

Thank you Fiona for the sleeping bags 🎒.

You were worried that they wouldnt be needed as the weather is so nice but, even on a hot night, a homeless person still needs a sleeping bag. Temperatures can drop sharply overnight, especially when sleeping outside on cold ground, and without proper shelter it can become dangerously uncomfortable or unsafe. A sleeping bag also provides protection from dampness, wind, insects, and helps give a small sense of warmth and security while sleeping rough.

A good, steady night tonight serving 70 guests at our Soup kitchen — rustic potatoes 🥔, baked beans, and spaghetti 🍝, alongside chicken dippers kindly donated by Booker of Portsmouth.

A huge thank you to our wonderful Street Vets who attended the Soup Kitchen last night and gave their time and care to three of our regular dogs. 🐾

Their kindness, compassion, and dedication mean so much to both our guests and their beloved companions.

For many people experiencing homelessness, their dogs are family, and having access to veterinary support is invaluable.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything the Street Vets team do to help keep these loyal companions healthy, safe, and loved. Xx

A fantastic evening serving 70 meals to our guests, a comforting plate of sausage, mash, vegetables, and gravy enjoyed by all.

Each guest also received a thoughtfully prepared bag of toiletries, kindly donated by our supporters. These small but meaningful gifts were truly appreciated and made a real difference tonight.
