We have completely re-designed our main charity website https://elizabeth-foundation.org to make it easier to use and better to look at.

Regular visitors will notice a wide range of changes and enhancements. Can you help Santa fill his sleigh this Christmas?

We’re reaching out to our wonderful network of supporters to see if anyone could lend a hand in helping us secure 100 selection boxes for our upcoming Christmas Bazaar on Sunday 6 December.

We know just how amazing our supporters are, and we’re hoping that, together, we can make this happen! Whether you’re an individual or run a small business, there are lots of ways you could help:

The countdown is on! In just under 11 hours, DJ Ian James will begin his mammoth 60 hour Radiothon broadcast on Portsmouth's Express FM- all in the name of fundraising! Alongside us, Ian will be raising money for the brilliant Sophie's Legacy and Connors Toy Library. There will be lots of guests dropping by throughout the broadcast, including from The Elizabeth Foundation, so be sure to tune in and give Ian some support over the three days.

Start: Wednesday 28th October @ 6am
End: Friday 30th October @ 6pm

Visit the new Let’s Listen and Talk website!

We have re-designed our major information and learning resource website https://letslistenandtalk.org

Alongside significant design and usability enhancements, a major enhancement has been the creation of our 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐛. This one-stop shop provides an ever-growing range of evidence-based videos and articles for parents and professionals who want to help young deaf children become confident communicators with good listening and speaking skills.

In developing the new Let’s Listen and Talk website we also wanted to create a strong platform for our exciting future plans with new and improved training courses for families and professionals.

A massive congratulations to everyone who took part in the Great South Run events over the weekend!

We know how much training, determination, and probably a few blisters and sore muscles went into getting to that finish line. We hope it was all worth it to take on this iconic Portsmouth route and be part of something bigger.

Together, you've raised an incredible £3,300 for The Elizabeth Foundation – nearly £4,000 with Gift Aid!

Thank you for every mile, every donation, and every bit of support. You're helping deaf children learn to listen and talk, giving them the best possible start in life. 💜💚

Find out about our services for families

We provide a wide range of services to offer young deaf children the best possible start in life. Through all of our services we aim to help these children learn to listen and talk.

We offer education services, online support and summer programmes for families. We also work in partnership to host NHS children’s audiology services.

Good luck to all our Great South Run and Junior Great South Run runners this weekend!

It promises to be an extra-special event this year, as Portsmouth celebrates its centenary as a city.

Pictured are two members of Team TEF, Sophie and Matt, who will be taking on the ten-mile challenge on Sunday. Matt is a Great South Run veteran, having completed the event ten times previously, raising money for The Elizabeth Foundation every time!

Although Matt officially hung up his running boots after the event in 2018, he’s coming out of retirement to run alongside his daughter, Sophie. She wanted to give something back in recognition of the support her brother Jacob, pictured here, and their whole family received from TEF.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone taking part this weekend to support deaf children and their families.

Good luck, Team TEF! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 💜💚

We had a great morning at the Great South Run pre-event press call. Two of our runners, Sophie and Matt, were interviewed by media representatives from BBC South Today, ITV, The News, Express FM, and Hits Radio and had the chance to explain why they were running for The Elizabeth Foundation. We are so grateful to them for giving up their time to represent us. Good luck for Sunday!

Check out our new websites!

As a key part of our 45th anniversary celebrations we have launched brand new versions of our main charity website https://elizabeth-foundation.org and our learning and information resource website https://letslistenandtalk.org

We wanted to ensure that we look forward to the future with an effective online platform for our beneficiaries and supporters.

Working with leading South coast digital agency Hewitt Matthews we have created new websites that look better, are easier to use, navigate and read, and more closely reflect our core beliefs and family-first ethos.

We have also designed our new websites to provide strong foundations for exciting projects we have planned in the future.
