Our Little Breya Needs Your Help
A Note from Breya’s Parent’s Hollie and Ollie
Our little Breya was admitted into Colchester General Friday 13th January 2017, after our continuing fight with GP'S and Consultants to recognise her symptoms as a concern. Finally someone listened to us...a Cancer Specialist Oncoligist who examined Breya in the Childrens Assessment Unit.
Our world came crashing down when we were advised that she had a suspected mass in her stomach. After 3 days of tests, scans and examinations at Colchester Hospital we were told to expect that Breya had a form of cancer. No parent ever wants to hear those words, and we won't even try to explain that feeling as no words can even start to describe.....but this is the hand we have been dealt.
We were discharged and transfered to Addenbrookes in Cambridge on Wednesday 18th January 2017, onto Ward C2, Onlogology Department. After a CT Scan, numerous X-ray's and a biopsy Breya was diagnosed with stage 4, Neuroplastoma, a tumour in her stomach originating from the Adrenal Gland, and spread of the cancer to her bones.
