Last week, the Big Hoose and PKAVS Young Carers hosted a fantastic Free Family Fun Day at the NICC, welcoming approximately 320 people!

Families enjoyed a huge range of activities throughout the day, including bouncy castles, soft play, football fun and the ever-popular Beat the Goalie challenge.

Our face painting, temporary tattoos and craft areas were buzzing from start to finish, while the silent disco kept the energy high all day long.

The gaming van was a massive hit, with children eagerly waiting for their turn before it had even finished setting up!

There were plenty of treats on offer too, including drinks, sweets, chocolate, free raffle prizes and delicious freshly made cakes at The Walled Garden & Wisecraft CafΓ©.

A huge thank you to the incredible Rapid Relief Team UK, who kept everyone fed and looked after for nearly three hours without stopping.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, who spent over two hours with families, offering fire engine and equipment tours, joining in football games and creating unforgettable experiences for the children.

Most importantly, thank you to every volunteer, staff member and partner organisation who helped make the day such a success. Your hard work, enthusiasm and dedication helped create a fun and memorable day for everyone who attended.

Thank you to everyone who came along, and for making it the biggest and best event yet!

We had a fantastic evening at the inaugural Volunteering in Perth & Kinross Awards (VIPKs) at Perth Art Gallery last night!

Huge congratulations to Third Sector PK for organising such a wonderful celebration of the volunteers who make our communities stronger every day. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success.

Most importantly, congratulations and thank you to all the nominees and winners. Your time, dedication and compassion make a real difference across Perth & Kinross, and it was inspiring to see your many contributions recognised.

And a special mention must go to our very own Janice Paterson from The Walled Garden & Wisecraft who won Volunteer Manager of the Year! A well-deserved award recognising her incredible commitment to supporting volunteers.

We're looking forward to next year's event already!
