Applications for a placement in the farming sector close on Friday. A driving licence isn't required but successful applicants need to be able to get to their placement location. More details in the website link below.

🚜 Thinking about a future in farming or the rural sector?

Our Land-based Pre‑apprenticeship Programme is the ideal first step — and applications close soon.

Over six months, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, industry training and a paid placement with a mentor business. Many of our young people say the programme has helped them grow in confidence, skills and direction.

As Zack, one of our recent pre‑apprentices, put it:
“It’s been a good 6‑months on the placement… my development has been clear to see. The pre‑apprenticeship programme is a good way to get into farming.”

If you’re aged 16–21 and ready to learn, this could be your start.

📅 Apply by 27 March 2026
