Social Flock are delighted to open our Back to School & Nursery applications for self-referrals! Wahoo!

We are aiming to provide 1,000 Back to School and 200 Back to Nursery packs, based on demand. Applications are submitted on a first come, first served basis.

We are happy for you to apply for every child in your household who is returning to school or nursery in August 2026. Please make sure you submit one application PER child so we can get to work on your pack as soon as possible. If you include more than one child per application, there will be a delay, and we may not be able to offer you packs for both children should we reach capacity.

We expect our applications to reach their capacity within 10 days, if not sooner.

This summer we have numerous Community Collection events and free Pop-Up shops across Perth and Kinross. If you can collect your pack from one of these events, or from our central Perth hub, please do. This will allow us to ensure our delivery services are offered to people who cannot travel to collect your packs, keeping our service accessible for everyone in our community.

Applications are open to anyone who lives in Perth and Kinross and wears clothes – which means this project is for you! We have a vast stock of preloved clothing, and you can ask for stock items only which allows us to redistribute more items and save you money. We want everyone who would like to be a to apply!

If you would like to volunteer over the summer holidays to help us make this project a huge success, please email us on [email protected] We take volunteers from age 8 -12-year-olds with parental supervision, 12-15 with parental permission and 16+ are always welcome.

Every Back to School Pack will contain a school bag, school uniform and PE kit suitable for Primary and Secondary school pupils across Perthshire schools. 🎒Back to School & Nursery FAQ🎒

We're opening applications for our Back to School & Nursery 2026 project very soon - keep your eyes peeled on our pages when the link goes live.

We thought we would pull together some Frequently Asked Questions (and their answers obvs) so you know how the process works before you apply.

We will be SO busy making up 1,200 packs in just EIGHT weeks so please read through these questions before getting in touch. We'll be online less while we deliver this project so bear with us!

TLDR: Please collect your pack if possible, one application per person, don't duplicate applications, email us on [email protected] for anything to do with your pack, delivery deadline 9th August, we'll be in touch if there are delays.

Our Back to School Packs include shoes where we can, because we know kids footwear is expensive and you can’t always get shoes to last you a year (said as a mum replacing trainers I bought 6 weeks ago 😳😱) and we are so thrilled to have received 22 boxes of shoes from towards the project.

A HUGE contribution to our service, giving us over 200 shoes to give out to children across Perth and Kinross this summer. We couldn’t be more grateful!

Thank you for being a wonderful partner for us! We really couldn’t do what we do without these contributions 💚

Team work makes the dream work 💚

When you donate your clothes to us in reuseable bags we pass them straight on to our pals at Perth & Kinross Foodbank so they can be used to support our community in other ways.

So if you have clothes to donate and eleventy billion reuseable bags under your kitchen sink (mine live in the cupboard so I can’t see them multiply!) please pass them our way.

You can also donate just your bags to the foodbank at their donation points directly. Check their page for more details.

These matter so much.

In the , we all know can be stretched, challenges can appear quickly, and sometimes the simplest items can suddenly become urgently needed. Being able to reach out to organisations who understand that - and who respond so generously - 🤝

might seem small, but they play an important role in helping people leave the foodbank with and practicality 🛍️💛

We often speak about , and this is exactly what it looks like in practice: organisations working collaboratively, pooling resources where we can, supporting one another and strengthening the together 🌍✨

🚨🥳AVIVA MATCH CROWDFUNDING NOW LIVE🥳🚨

Wahoooo! We are thrilled to have been accepted into the Aviva match crowdfunding to help us secure funding for the final 100 Back to School and Nursery Packs.

We are aiming to offer 1,200 Back to School & Nursery Packs for free for any child living in Perth and Kinross and returning to education in August 2026.

💚WISHLIST WEDNESDAY💚

This week we are preparing for our Back To School Project and are in need of the following:

☑ Teenage ~Black/Navy/Grey~ School Jumpers size age 12-16

These can be dropped off at our donation stations at Tesco Crieff Road, Asda Perth and St John's Shopping Centre. Our Hub is open on a Tuesday 10-2pm and 4-6pm, Thursday and Sunday 10-2pm

We need to say a tasty THANK YOU to for dropping off a huge donation of crisps and popcorn to our Perth hub today!

These will be going straight onto our volunteer snack table to keep our hardworking volunteers well fed over the summer…although they may not even last that long!

Donations like this make it easier for us to keep volunteering free for everyone who comes to support us by providing meals and sustenance to everyone involved.
