🚨Funding opportunity: DWP Pathways to Work Innovation Fund

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has published the application pack for its Pathways to Work Innovation Fund, which will invest up to £60 million over two years to test innovative approaches supporting disabled people and people with long-term health conditions to move towards, enter, stay and progress in work.

The fund is open to eligible organisations across the UK, including charities, voluntary organisations, social enterprises, public bodies and partnerships. Proposals should test new or significantly different approaches and generate learning about what works.

Application deadline: Monday 26 October 2026.

For the third year running, as part of the 16 Days of Action to End Violence Against Women and Girls, this exhibition provides a tangible response to one of our culture’s most pervasive r**e myths. “What were you wearing?” This terrible myth insinuates that people’s, but especially women’s, clothing is some how responsible for sexual violence. This exhibition aims to show how absurd this concept is and
how in reality the only person at fault is the perpetrator.

The What Were You Wearing (WWYW) exhibition was created & first displayed at the University of Arkansas in 2014. In 2017, WWYW went viral after being displayed at the University of Kansas & was covered by the media. WWYW has been recreated on six continents thousands of times since 2017. Now it is in Perth and Kinross for the second year.
Outfits featured in this exhibition have been recreated from the stories of survivors.

*Content warning* Some people, especially survivors may find this exhibition difficult or distressing. Staff will be available to offer support to anyone who may need it, or to provide information about accessing support and referrals to RASAC PK.

The Gannochy Trust Youth Panel Fund offers grants of up to £10,000 for projects benefiting young people aged 11–26 in Perth and Kinross.

The fund supports three areas:

🟩Youth Activity – including opportunities to socialise, explore music and art, and access new experiences.
🟢Youth Voice – helping young people have their say and take on leadership roles.
💚Youth Health & Wellbeing – including mental health, independent living skills and access to the outdoors.

Funding decisions are made by a panel of young people, who assess applications against the fund’s aims and outcomes.

Application deadline: Friday 6 November 2026, for consideration at the Youth Panel meeting on 5 December 2026.

The session brought together Enable and Highland Perthshire Plus to share how they support people with learning disabilities, additional support needs and disabilities across Perth & Kinross.

From Enable’s weekly community group and social activities to Highland Perthshire PLUS’s sporting opportunities, supported volunteering and family support, both organisations highlighted practical ways to build confidence, reduce isolation and improve access to community life.

Interested in community ownership of land or buildings?

The Community Ownership Support Service (COSS) is running a free online introduction to Community Asset Transfer for community groups and interested individuals in Scotland.

The session will explain the process of transferring publicly owned land and buildings into community ownership, including eligibility, legal requirements and how to make an Asset Transfer Request. There will also be a Q&A.
