Tom Hanratty and Michael Hanratty from High Road to Dornoch visited Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance - SCAA to hand over a cheque for £20,673.51 from their charity expedition last May, that seen them walk and kayak from Musselburgh to Dornoch.

The work that SCAA do can't be under estimated, the importance of their lifesaving work is felt by people all over Scotland, this has been felt by our family and witnessed during our visit, as the crew jumped to action to attend a call out

Thank you to everyone that followed our expedition and supported us along the way. A massive thank to all the heroes at Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance.

While we've handed over the cheque to declare a total for 'Highroad to Dornoch' we will continue to work and support SCAA so please remember out just giving link and share this post!!

Day two started early, a little chase from a huge snow, followed by a hard kayak to the The Falkirk Wheel.

It really was incredible to get to do a half rotation in our kayaks, this was definitely a highlight of the High Road to Dornoch. After a wee catch up with Ewan McIlwraith and a quick breakfast, it was back in the kayaks and on to meet Leigh Hanratty and Claire Smith to hand over the kayaks nese Torrance. We were joined by Emma Mackenzie and walked to Milngavie to start the West Highland Way.

Although I don't think any of us thought we'd be sleeping on a football pitch next to Tesco 🤣

Tom Hanratty and Michael Hanratty were proud to attend a celebration of Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance - SCAA 10th anniversary at The Scottish Parliament hosted by John Swinney MSP. It was amazing to meet more of the staff and supporters and to hear the stories of their connection to this wonderful charity.
