We’re recruiting new volunteers for our Perth Community Hub and whether you’re a lifelong cyclist or simply passionate about community, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteers help with:
• Welcoming visitors
• Supporting bike loan programmes
• Organising donated bikes
• Community events and pop-up activities

What you’ll get back:
• New skills and experience
• Confidence in a workshop and retail environment
• Opportunities for training and development
• A supportive community of staff and volunteers

We’re currently most in need of volunteers for:
• Thursdays 3pm–5pm
• Saturdays 1pm–5pm

The Bike Station Presents: An intro to bikepacking

The Bike Station Community Events are a new programme of friendly, welcoming talks and gatherings centred around cycling culture.

They’re relaxed, accessible, and aimed at everyone, from total beginners to seasoned cyclists.

Our very first Bike Bus to Pitcairn Primary School from Bertha Park was a total success!

Smiles, fresh air and happy legs powering the school run! There’s something magic about travelling together on two wheels and honestly, you can see it written all over their faces in these photos.

Not only is the Bike Bus helping cut down car journeys (hello cleaner air and fewer emissions), it’s also boosting confidence, independence, and wellbeing for our young riders, turning the school run into the best part of the day.

More fun. Less traffic. A healthier planet.

Now that’s the kind of commute we love.

The Bike Station's FREE Community Dr Bike aims to ensure everyone's bike is safe for day to day use to encourage more cycling! We will set up a repair stand to provide safety checks for the general public.

The Bike Station in Perth is evolving — and it means more community impact across the city.

Perth Community Hub is focused on delivering even more community cycling work for local people.

This year, we’re expanding the programmes that help break down barriers to cycling — especially for families, young people, and those who need access to bikes, skills and support. That includes work like: Shifting Gears, Wee Bike Library and Kids Bike Life.

This shift means our team can spend more time creating long-term impact across Perth, strengthening partnerships, and helping more people access cycling in a way that works for them.

And don’t worry — bike sales aren’t going anywhere.
We’ll still be selling affordable refurbished bikes through our pop-up bike sales, with our first event happening: 1st and 2nd May 2026
