Donnington Doorstep is an independent, community-based family centre delivering a range of universal

We’re a home from home drop-in for children, young people and their families as well as a hub for local community activity. From our purpose-built centre in East Oxford our activities focus on play, food, support and community development. We aim to increase happiness and emotional wellbeing for local children, young people and their families, and to support good mental and physical health. We want to improve life chances for the socially excluded children and young people we work with, and to enable them to realise their full potential. Through this we will see a stronger, safer and more integrated community in our surrounding areas.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to our Family Support Fund and food bank thus far 🫶

Today we were able to open our food bank to families in the community. Thanks to all your help and support, we were able to supplement our supplies with a trip to Aldi to get essentials for families like nappies, wipes, and cooking oil🥫

Our food bank will be running every Monday at 12pm here at Doorstep. If you are interested in receiving support, please get in touch 💫

We're so excited to announce that we will be running a parenting programme from January till March 2027!

The course is accredited by The Centre for Emotional Health and is 10 weeks long. We hope to run each weekly session on a Monday morning.

We are welcoming autumn here in drop-in this week! 🍂🍁

Over 70 people attended a very enjoyable Jazz evening that raised £2,000 for Donnington Doorstep family centre! A big thank you to everyone who came. Also to the musicians, volunteers, Iffley Church Hall committee and local shops and restaurants that provided raffle prizes. A special shout out to the Midcounties Co-op for donating £100!
