Peeple is a charity that trains practitioners and works with families - supporting young children’s development by making the most of play and learning opportunities in everyday life.

Our one-day Peep Antenatal Training gives practitioners practical skills, confidence and resources to help expectant parents get to know their baby, during pregnancy and after birth.

The programme creates space for parents to think about their baby, explore the changes and feelings that come with becoming a parent, and build supportive connections with others. Activities encourage parents to notice and respond to their baby’s communication and connect through talking, singing and everyday interactions.

You’ll learn to deliver a structured, flexible programme that can stand alone or complement your existing antenatal support, with resources to help you plan and run sessions.

Today is National Internet Day and a reminder of how technology can help families stay connected.

Video calls, voice notes and photos give babies and young children ways to connect and share their day with family and friends, especially those who live far away.

You might share a favourite song on a video call, record a hello together or help your child send a photo of something that is special to them.

These shared activities offer chances to listen, take turns and express themselves. For babies, joining in might mean a smile, a wave or a babble when they hear a familiar voice.

Our short film, ‘The Magic of Everyday Moments’, captures a side of parenting that often goes unspoken: wondering whether you’re getting things right and how you are going to find your way through the next challenge.

At Peep, we don't sweep your worries away, we make space for those conversations. In our groups, you will meet other parents and carers, share experiences and hear from people with similar questions and worries.

Our programmes build on what you already do with your child, helping you recognise what’s going well and grow in confidence, with support along the way.

Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, but Peep is the next best thing.

Research by Start Strong shows that most people recognise how important children’s wellbeing is - the challenge is making it a priority when society decides where to focus its attention and support.

All families deserve welcoming spaces, trusted advice and opportunities to play, talk and connect but for some finding time, money and support can be hard.

Making babies and young children a priority means making that support part of everyday life.

🫧 Wash, wash, wash your hands…

For Global Handwashing Day, here’s a simple song to help make handwashing part of everyday routines.

Singing while children wash can help them remember the steps, keep going for long enough, and enjoy doing it with you.

Clean hands, fewer germs, and a little bit of singing along the way.
