Thinking how time flies. Black History Month is nearly at its end, but not to worry Afrikan History is not just for 31 days. AACKHI has since 2005 promoted Afrikan History Season/Beyond Black History Month. Let us not forget one individual whose inspiration brought Black History into many of our lives, homes and learning.
Since 2018, the 70th anniversary of the docking of the Empire Windrush, we here in Oxford continue to mark the anniversary with a programme of events to honour the pioneers who left their island homes, sunshine, sea and sand to embark on unknown territories.
