The water needed to make new clothes is pretty mind-blowing. Just one T-shirt requires 2,700 litres. In the face of the climate crisis, that water could otherwise be used to drink, cook and stay safe from disease.

Already this year, items you've donated to Oxfam have been reused or recycled saving billions of litres of water. Thanks for giving clothes a second life, avoiding waste, and supporting people facing climate crisis. 🌍

Yes, António! We agree, we should make polluters pay! In his outgoing speech as United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres called out big polluters and said we need to Make Polluters Pay for the climate crisis that they've caused.

We know how to make this happen, and millions of us are already working on making this a reality. But we need you to get involved to. Let's keep going - demand that polluters must pay.

We need you to get involved too. Climate justice starts with each and every one of us.

‘Britain’s Gaza Secrets Exposed: Dispatches’. Journalist, Ramita Navai, follows a paper trail of government records in a new Dispatches investigation, examining the UK’s conduct in Gaza. Watch now on Channel 4.

The genocide in Gaza continues. There is no ceasefire. The UK Government has fuelled the violence by continuing to allow arms sales and other military support to the Israeli forces. This includes parts for the F-35 fighter jets that have dropped bombs on civilians.

‘War Witness’: Hear from Lebanese filmmaker and photographer Fatima Joumaa, sharing three photos that shed light on her experience covering the war on Lebanon by the Israeli authorities in her own community.

The deadliest year for photographers was 2025, with more killed than in any other year since records began in 1992, according to The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

The war isn't over, and Israeli authorities continues to occupy Lebanese territory, killing civilians and destroying homes and livelihoods.

This is ‘War Witness’. A series where we’re sharing what drives photographers and filmmakers to risk their lives to report and shed light on aspects of war we don’t usually see.

Fashion was never about following trends. It's always been about making your own.

But with factories pumping out carbon copies – as well as carbon emissions – it’s no surprise most of us feel it’s harder than ever to express ourselves.

We love that people come to Oxfam to find that one-of-a-kind item, knowing that in an Oxfam shop, you can be exactly yourself, and find clothes that are as unique as you are.

Keep buying, wearing and donating second hand. You're giving fashion a longer life, reducing emissions, and supporting vital work by people fighting climate chaos. That’s a trend we’re happy to follow 💚

The catastrophic floods in Nepal are a stark reminder that the climate crisis is happening now. Rising global temperatures are causing glaciers to melt, putting communities at greater risk from floods.

Climate catastrophes are largely being caused by the high emissions and polluting investments of the super-rich, wealthy nations, and fossil fuel corporations. But as action stalls on climate justice, the world's most marginalised people - especially those in the global south - are disproportionately paying the price.

At its heart, the climate crisis is an inequality crisis – it doesn't effect everyone equally. Nepal has contributed just 0.1% of global emissions, yet its people are living with devastating consequences. Shouldn't the world's richest polluters pay for the crisis they caused?

Oxfam welcomes the UK government’s announcement to ban settlement trade with illegal Israeli settlements. This is a significant first step.

The UK must now extend this ban further to include all services and investment in illegal Israeli settlements and use every diplomatic and economic tool at its disposal to push for an end to the unlawful occupation and support Palestinian self-determination.
